The year 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the PMV model and also the year in which the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic. In this context, hospital environments and health professionals are at the center of attention, and a good indoor environment for those professionals to develop their activities is essential. Thus, considering the PMV model and focusing on hospital environments, this study performed a literature review of studies published between 1968 and August 2020. The research identified 153 papers on thermal comfort and its application in hospitals, health centers, and elderly centers. Specific inclusion and exclusion criteria were adopted to determine the most relevant studies for the four research questions proposed in this study. After applying the exclusion criteria, 62 studies were included in order to identify their main characteristics. In the universe of the 62 studies, this review identified 24 studies that applied the PMV model and 12 where there was a comparison of PMV and the thermal sensation votes (TSV) reported by people. The main findings of this research are: (i) A good thermal environment for professionals and patients is important, and more studies are needed; (ii) there are little explored topics, such as productivity related to thermal comfort in hospital environments; (iii) in addition to thermal comfort, other indoor environmental quality (IEQ) parameters have also been evaluated, such as indoor air quality (IAQ); (iv): the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted how the quality of indoor spaces is important in order to ensure occupant’s health. To date, it is still not clear whether cerebrovascular manifestations are caused by direct viral action or indirect action mediated by inflammatory hyperactivation, and in some cases, the association may be casual rather than causal.Objective: To conduct a systematic review on the cerebrovascular events in COVID-19 infection.Evidence review: A comprehensive literature search on PubMed was performed including articles published from January 1, 2020, to July 23, 2020, using a suitable keyword strategy. Additional sources were added by the authors by reviewing related references. The systematic review was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA guidelines. Only articles reporting individual data on stroke mechanism and etiology, sex, age, past cardiovascular risk factors, COVID symptoms, admission NIHSS, D-dimer levels, and acute stroke treatment were selected for the review. Articles that did not report the clinical description of the cases were excluded. A descriptive statistical analysis of the data collected was performed.Finding: From a total of 1,210 articles published from January 1, 2020, to July 23, 2020, 80 articles (275 patients), which satisfied the abovementioned criteria, were included in this review. A total of 226 cases of ischemic stroke (IS), 35 cases of intracranial bleeding, and 14 cases of CVST were found. Among patients with IS, the mean age was 64.16 ±14.73 years (range 27–92 years) and 53.5% were male. The mean NIHSS score reported at the onset of stroke was 15.23 ±9.72 (range 0–40). Primary endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) was performed in 24/168 patients (14.29%), intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) was performed in 17/168 patients (10.12%), and combined IVT+EVT was performed in 11/168 patients (6.55%). According to the reported presence of large vessel occlusion (LVO) (105 patients), 31 patients (29.52%) underwent primary EVT or bridging. Acute intracranial bleeding was reported in 35 patients: 24 patients (68.57%) had intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), 4 patients (11.43%) had non-traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), and the remaining 7 patients (20%) had the simultaneous presence of SAH and ICH. Fourteen cases of CVST were reported in the literature (50% males), mean age 42.8 years ±15.47 (range 23–72). Treatment was reported only in nine patients; seven were treated with anticoagulant therapy; one with acetazolamide, and one underwent venous mechanical thrombectomy.Conclusion: Cerebrovascular events are relatively common findings in COVID-19 infection, and they could have a multifactorial etiology. More accurate and prospective data are needed to better understand the impact of cerebrovascular events in COVID-19 infection. This paper provides a proposal for sustainable housing: the industrialized passive home of American Building System Company (ABS) and its suitability to be incorporated into the construction system. Following the comparative analysis of the energy demands of this model versus an equivalent house which follows the regulations of the CTE. These data will be simulated by the SG SAVE software that perform the energy simulation of the both systems, based on the transmittance values of enclosures and glass and the final tightness of the homes. From these results about the savings in energy consumption, an economic analysis has been carried out and an assessment of the amortization period of the proposed house facing the other. In addition, through the calculation coefficients of equivalent CO2 emissions from the Spanish Ministry of Industry, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions associated with energy consumption during the use stage has been obtained. Finally, for a standardize comfort conditions, the modelling and the assessment allow us to conclude that the deployment of ABS house in comparison with the conventional Spanish system supposes a reduction of 60% in energy demand, a 90% in CO2 emissions, and an amortization period of 12 years. With all these evidences we should start to think why this system has not been already integrated in the Spanish construction sector. Resumen Fomentar la innovación en el sector de la construcción es una de las piedras angulares de la sostenibilidad, pues la construcción es uno de los sectores responsables de las emisiones de GEI. Este artículo busca ofrecer una propuesta para la construcción sostenible: la vivienda pasiva industrializada de la empresa American Building System (ABS) y su idoneidad para ser incorporada como sistema constructivo tras el análisis comparativo de sus demandas energéticas frente a los de una vivienda equivalente que sigue la normativa del Código Técnico de la Edificación. Estos datos han sido obtenidos a partir del modelado energético de la vivienda a través del software SG SAVE, en función de los valores de transmitancia de cerramientos y vidrios y la estanqueidad final de la vivienda. A partir de estos resultados se ha realizado un análisis económico y se ha calculado el periodo de amortización de la vivienda propuesta frente a la del sistema convencional. Por otro lado, mediante los coeficientes de cálculo de emisiones del Ministerio de Industria Español, ha sido posible estimar la reducción emisiones de CO2 asociadas al consumo de energía durante la etapa de uso como consecuencia de la reducción de demanda energética entre ambas viviendas. Finalmente, para unas condiciones de confort normalizadas, la modelización energética y el análisis de resultados nos permiten concluir que la vivienda ABS en comparación con la vivienda del sistema convencional español nos permite reducir la demanda energética en hasta un 60%, las emisiones de CO2 en hasta un 90%, con un período de amortización de 12 años. Parent and their 28 crosses were evaluated for grain yield in two plantations in 2006. The objective was to estimate the general combining ability (GCA) of the parental populations and the specific combining ability (SCA) of the crosses for grain yield. The populations were: 21, 22, 23, 25, 32, 43, 49 and the commercial variety VS-536. The Griffing method 2 design was utilized to estimate GCA and SCA effects, on a complete randomized block design with three replications, at two planting dates. The diallel analysis showed significant differences (P ≤ 0.01 y 0.05) among planting dates (PD), crosses (C), GCA, PD × C and PD × SCA interaction. Populations 23 and 43 showed the highest significant (P ≤ 0,01)  GCA, and the crosses VS 536 × Pob 32, Pob 22 × Pob 43, Pob 25 × Pob 49 y Pob 43 × Pob 49 showed the highest significant (P ≤ 0,01) SCA effects. Este trabalho teve por objetivo o cálculo de índices emergéticos para avaliação da sustentabilidade da produção leiteira. Para isso, o estudo foi realizado em uma propriedade rural, de base familiar, localizada no município de Palmeira, Paraná. A partir dos dados reais da propriedade, calculou-se a razão de rendimento emergético líquido (EYR), a razão de investimento de emergia (EIR), a carga ambiental (ELR), a razão de intercâmbio de emergia (EER), a renovabilidade (%R), a rentabilidade econômica simples (RES) e o índice de sustentabilidade (SI). Fundamentado nos métodos de análise emergética, foram encontrados os seguintes valores: EYR = 1,33; EIR = 3,05; ELR = 3,15; EER = 1,71; %R = 24; SI = 0,42; RES = 0,12. Estes índices demonstram que apesar de economicamente viável, RES = 0,12, em termos energéticos a propriedade apresenta-se com um baixo índice de sustentabilidade (SI).
