La población rural femenina ha sido vulnerable a los impactos de la desigualdad social y el conflicto armado. Por esta razón, ante condiciones de discriminación, pobreza y violencia, algunas mujeres rurales han encontrado alternativas de cohesión comunitaria a partir de la conservación ambiental, las cuales se han vuelto una forma de mitigar y hacerle frente a esas dificultades. Este artículo muestra los resultados de un estudio de caso llevado a cabo en Vergara, Cundinamarca (Colombia). El objetivo es analizar las acciones de participación comunitaria implementadas por los miembros de la vereda Llano Grande, con el propósito de identificar las potencialidades, dificultades y lecciones aprendidas en torno a la gobernanza ambiental y al empoderamiento comunitario. Se hizo uso de entrevistas a profundidad, encuestas semiestructuradas, observación participante y grupos focales, mediante un modelo de Investigación-Acción Participativa (IAP), para definir estrategias de fortalecimiento local, igualdad de género y gobernanza ambiental en un contexto rural de posconflicto. Se sostiene que la participación comunitaria ambiental ha sido un instrumento para el empoderamiento de las mujeres rurales en dicho contexto y, al mismo tiempo, contribuye positivamente a la consolidación de buenas prácticas de gobernanza ambiental en una perspectiva de género.

A lo largo de las montañas de Sudamérica, los bosques de Polylepis y la comunidad de aves que albergan sobresalen como uno de los ecosistemas de mayor prioridad de conservación. Estos bosques forman uno de los límites arbóreos más altos del mundo y son centros de diversidad y de endemismo biológico. Sin embargo, sus diferentes características ecológicas y las presiones de los seres humanos los hacen cada vez más vulnerables a la degradación y a los futuros cambios climáticos. Realizamos una revisión del estado del conocimiento de las diversas especies de aves asociadas con Polylepis a fin de guiar los esfuerzos para su conservación. Varias publicaciones sugieren que la función de los ecosistemas de Polylepis como hábitat para las aves está influenciada por su distribución continental y por factores locales y de paisaje, incluyendo las actividades humanas y las perturbaciones. Identificamos 29 áreas de prioridad para la conservación de Polylepis a lo largo de toda su distribución, que en conjunto mantienen 44 especies de aves endémicas, amenazadas o con alto grado de asociación con los bosques de Polylepis. Según la lista de aves amenazadas de la IUCN, dos especies están categorizadas en estado crítico, 8 en peligro, 8 vulnerables y 9 como casi amenazadas. Además, 70% de estas especies (31) poseen rangos de distribución restringida, y son endémicas a un solo país, mientras que 52% (23) poseen un alto o mediano grado de asociación con los bosques de Polylepis. Las recomendaciones de diversos estudios coinciden en que aumentar la conectividad entre parches y la permeabilidad de la matriz, y reducir la erosión, la quema y la ganadería contribuirían a mejorar la conservación y la recuperación de los ecosistemas de Polylepis y de las aves que en ella habitan.

Em um experimento, conduzido por 4 anos no município de Chapecó, SC, foi avaliado o efeito de doses (zero, 60, 120 e 240kg/ha) e fontes de N (esterco líquido de suínos [ELS], composto de esterco de suínos [CES], esterco de aves [EA] e nitrato de amônio [NA]) na produtividade de milho no sistema plantio direto. Após 4 anos foram coletadas amostras de solo para a realização de análises químicas nas camadas de zero a 5, 5 a 10, 10 a 20, 20 a 30, 30 a 40cm de profundidade. Os resultados mostraram que o fornecimento de N através do ELS apresentou eficiência similar ao NA, e ambos apresentaram maior eficiência que o CES e EA. A resposta ao N de NA e de ELS apresentou efeito quadrático, sendo a produtividade máxima de grãos obtida, respectivamente, com a aplicação anual de 226 e 246kg/ha de N. A resposta à aplicação de N de EA e de CES foi linear. Maiores alterações nas propriedades do solo foram verificadas com a aplicação de EA e CES, com acúmulo de P, K, Cu e Zn nas camadas superficiais do solo, principalmente nos primeiros 5cm. As propriedades químicas do solo nas camadas de 20 a 30 e 30 a 40cm não foram afetadas. Para uma mesma quantidade de N aplicada, o esterco sólido manteve o pH do solo próximo ao valor original, enquanto o NA acarretou sua redução.

El presente artículo tiene el objetivo de valorar los principales elementos teóricos y conceptuales que configuran la seguridad alimentaria familiar desde la perspectiva sociológica. En éste, se realiza un análisis a los referentes teóricos de (Luhmann, 2006), la concepción del cambio de José Martí y el enfoque sociológico de la alimentación de (Díaz, 2005). Para ello, la investigación se apoyó en los métodos generales del conocimiento científico y en el análisis de contenido. El empleo de estos métodos permitió obtener los siguientes resultados: las estructuras mediadoras que intervienen en la seguridad alimentaria familiar (poder, dinero y lenguaje); el pensamiento sociológico de Martí referido a las convenciones sociales y el método de la disgregación progresiva en función de explicar las problemáticas en torno a las dimensiones de la seguridad alimentaria familiar; y la perspectiva aportada por Díaz sobre la necesidad de establecer vínculos entre la producción y el consumo de alimentos.

Objetivo. Analizar los entornos investigativos del trabajo social para su fundamentación disciplinar en el contexto territorial de Boyacá, Colombia. Metodología. El estudio es cualitativo y la técnica utilizada fue revisión documental a 134 investigaciones formativas del programa de trabajo social realizadas entre los años 2009 a 2019 en la Fundación Universitaria Juan de Castellanos. Resultados. La información se organizó en tres entornos:1) internacionalización y desarrollo, destacado por las espacialidades rurales como escenario de mayor análisis disciplinar. 2) ambientes del trabajo social, caracterizado por los tránsitos laborales entre contextos conservadores ycontemporáneos que revalúan constantemente el quehacer profesional y 3) entorno territorial comunitario, expresado en una tendencia que comprende las organizaciones campesinas y la interacción establecida con las ecologías del departamento. Conclusión. La relación entre ser humano y entorno fortalece la fundamentación del trabajo social en un contexto regional marcado por la ruralidad que envuelve al territorio boyacense.

El trabajo plantea una revisión de los momentos fundacionales de la carrera de Ciencias de la Comunicación de la Universidad Nacional de Salta desde la perspectiva teórica de la decolonialiadad para analizar los objetivos que se propusieron dentro del enclave socio-historico local. Se entiende el proceso como parte de una puja distributiva cultural en la que la disputa por los sentidos acerca de lo que es la comunicación y su rol en el escenario local resultaba central para la región. A la vez, se realiza una lectura del plan de estudio desde una perspectiva que considera a los contenidos y a las prácticas académicas como una ecología de los saberes en tanto articulación de los mismos y en pos de un descentramiento de las formas de conocimiento tradicionales.

Este trabalho investiga relações entre ecologia, religião e saúde, a partir de uma etnografia fenomenológica, que encontra em Merleau-Ponty, Thomas Csordas e Tim Ingold suas principais referências teórico-metodológicas. O lugar desta etnografia foi o Rincão Gaia, a sede rural da Fundação Gaia, ONG fundada pelo ecologista José Lutzenberger. Localizado em Pantano Grande, a 120 km de Porto Alegre, o Rincão Gaia é o lugar onde acontecem trilhas educativas, cursos de educação ambiental, oficinas ligadas à temática ecológica e atividades de ecoturismo.
