                <text>Identification and repurposing of therapeutic and preventive strategies against COVID-19 are rapidly undergoing. Several medicinal plants from the Himalayan region have been traditionally used to treat various human disorders. Thus, in our current study, we intended to explore the potential ability of Himalayan medicinal plant (HMP) bioactives against COVID-19 using computational investigations. Molecular docking was performed against six crucial targets involved in the replication and transmission of SARS-CoV-2. About forty-two HMP bioactives were analyzed against these targets for their binding energy, molecular interactions, inhibition constant, and biological pathway enrichment analysis. Pharmacological properties and potential biological functions of HMP bioactives were predicted using the ADMETlab and PASS webserver respectively. Our current investigation has demonstrated that the bioactives of HMPs potentially act against COVID-19. Docking results showed that several HMP bioactives had a superior binding affinity with SARS-CoV-2 essential targets like 3CLpro, PLpro, RdRp, helicase, spike protein, and human ACE2. Based on the binding energies, several bioactives were selected and analyzed for pathway enrichment studies. We have found that selected HMP bioactives may have a role in regulating immune and apoptotic pathways. Furthermore, these selected HMP bioactives have shown lower toxicity with pleiotropic biological activities, including anti-viral activities in predicting activity spectra for substances. Current study results can explore the possibility of HMPs as therapeutic agents against COVID-19.</text>

MÉTODOS: Foi realizado um estudo de intervenção com abordagem de articulação de redes intersetoriais presenciais, desenvolvidas a partir da atuação de equipes compostas por nutricionista, educador popular e engenheiro agrônomo ou técnico agrícola, que visitaram, por pelo menos dois momentos, todos os municípios pertencentes aos Territórios da Cidadania, visando articular redes intersetoriais presenciais capazes de desencadear processos locais de mobilização, organização e apoderamento de diferentes atores para a aquisição de produtos da agricultura familiar para a alimentação escolar nos municípios que compõem os referidos territórios. RESULTADOS: Os resultados mais expressivos foram: 14% dos municípios visitados apresentaram melhora na organização da agricultura familiar; 14% dos gestores passaram a apoiar o processo de aquisição de alimentos segundo a Lei nº 11.947/2009, e 27% dos municípios que não possuíam nutricionista contrataram o profissional. Não foram considerados satisfatórios os resultados obtidos para situação do Conselho de Alimentação Escolar. CONCLUSÃO: As ações desenvolvidas foram capazes de contribuir positivamente para o avanço da implementação da Lei Federal nº 11.947/2009 nos Territórios de Cidadania abordados.</text>

Os dilemas foram elaborados com base na teoria de julgamento moral de Kohlberg e na técnica de discussão de dilemas morais em grupo, criada por Blatt e Kohlberg. Dezesseis estudantes do primeiro ano do segundo grau de uma escola pública de Porto Alegre participaram do estudo, tendo sido aplicado nesses estudantes, como pré-teste e pós-teste, um questionário de dez itens sobre atitudes em relação à ecologia. As respostas dos participantes foram avaliadas numa escala de zero a dois pontos, indicando o grau de maturidade de atitudes em relação ao ambiente. O grau de participação nas discussões de dilemas também foi analisado. A análise dos dados indica que a técnica foi eficaz somente para os alunos considerados participativos nas discussões.This research study had the purpose of promoting favorable attitudes toward the environment in adolescents through debates of dilemmas with ecological content. The dilemmas were elaborated with basis on Kohlberg's theory of moral judgment and on Blatt and Kohlberg's group discussion technique. Sixteen students from the first year of high-school from a public school in Porto Alegre (Brazil), participated in the research study. These students were administred a ten-item questionnaire about attitudes regarding ecology, as pre-test and post-test. The participants responses were rated in a zero to two points scale, indicating the degree of maturity of attitudes regarding the environment. The degree of participation in the discussions was also analyzed. The analysis of data reveals that the technique worked only for those students considered high in participation in the discussions.</text>

                <text>As espécies de Adesmia encontradas no Rio Grande do Sul e em Santa Catarina apresentam alta qualidade forrageira e podem ser utilizadas em programas de melhoramento de campos nativos. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a promoção do crescimento em espécies de adésmia por rizobactérias produtoras de ácido indolacético (AIA). Foram utilizados sete isolados de bactérias de nódulos de adésmia e pertencentes à coleção de rizobactérias da Epagri. Avaliaram-se a produção de AIA in vitro e a promoção de crescimento vegetal pelos isolados em Adesmia latifolia, A. psoraleoides, A. riograndensis e A. tristis. Os isolados bacterianos utilizados são específicos para nodulação em A. latifolia. Os resultados obtidos demonstraram uma produção variável de AIA pelos diferentes isolados. O número de folhas bifoliadas e o comprimento dos brotos não são afetados pelos isolados utilizados neste trabalho. Os efeitos dos isolados de bactérias de nódulos na promoção do crescimento variaram em função da interação com as diferentes espécies de adésmia. O isolado EEL0710 promove maior crescimento em Adesmia latifolia, A. psoraleoides e A. tristis. O isolado EEL1710A promove maior crescimento em A. riograndensis. O nível endógeno de ácido indolacético não apresenta uma relação direta na promoção do crescimento das espécies de Adesmia</text>

                <text>Las enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles son una prioridad de salud pública, representan las principales causas de enfermedad y muerte en el mundo y en Tunja; se estima que el consumo diario de cinco porciones de fruta y/o verdura es un factor protector que puede contribuir a la disminución de este tipo de enfermedades, no obstante, en Tunja, en la población de 15 a 44 años de edad, este consumo es insuficiente. Objetivo: diseñar, implementar y evaluar una estrategia de intervención para incrementar la disponibilidad de verduras en una comunidad de Tunja. Metodología: estudio cualitativo en el que se aplicaron cinco principios de la investigación basada en comunidad. Tuvo dos componentes: educativo y agricultura urbana, que se desarrollaron en cuatro fases: inserción en la comunidad, diseño, implementación y evaluación. Resultados: se realizaron siete sesiones educativas de carácter participativo y se implementaron ocho huertas caseras y una huerta comunitaria, aspectos que permitieron reflejar la importancia del consumo de verduras en la alimentación diaria. Se logró empoderamiento comunitario, construcción de redes sociales y visualización del rol del profesional de enfermería en el campo comunitario. Discusión: este proyecto es un referente piloto a nivel local que contribuye a la efectividad de procesos educativos en la ciudad y en contextos similares en torno al tema de alimentación saludable. Conclusão: a estratégia de intervenção permitiu incrementar a disponibilidade de verduras, outorgar poder à comu-nidade, criar redes sociais e visibilizar o professional de enfer-magem a respeito do direcionamento e da liderança de ações comunitárias voltadas à promoção de estilos de vida saudáveis.Non-transmissible chronic diseases are a top priority as to public health, as they represent the main cause of disease and death worldwide, and specifically, in Tunja. Daily consumption of five servings of fruit and/or vegetables is estimated to be a protecting factor that may help decrease this kind of diseases, however, fruit and vegetable consumption in Tunja, in people aged 15 to 44 years old, proves to be insufficient. Purpose: design, implement, and assess an intervention strategy to increase the availability of vegetables in a village of Tunja. Methodology: qualitative study that applied the five research principles based on the community. It includes two components: educational and urban agriculture. Both components developed in four phases: insertion in the community, design, implemented and assessment. Results: Seven participatory educational sessions were performed and eight domestic gardens and one community orchard were sowed in order to grow fruits and vegetables. These aspects will allow for reflecting the importance of eating vegetables in the daily food consumption. As a result of the research: community members were empowered, new social networks were created and the nursing professionals were given more visibility within the community. Discussion: this project is a pilot benchmark at local level that contributes to booster effectiveness of educational processes in the city and also in similar context revolving around healthy food. Conclusion: an intervention strategy allowed to increase the availability of vegetables, empower the community, create social networks, and make the nursing professionals visible in guiding and leading community actions geared to promote healthier life-styles.</text>

                <text>Food waste (FW) has recently attracted the interest of different institutions and has been the focus of many studies due to its important environmental, social and economic impact. This paper aims to analyze whether a didactic intervention, consisting of informing teachers and pupils and involving pupils in reducing FW, could bring about changes in the level of knowledge and attitude towards FW and in the amount of FW generated during the mid-morning break and lunch at schools. This study was conducted at a public Primary School in Valencia (Spain). Subtle changes in the level of knowledge and attitude towards FW were detected in teachers and pupils after the intervention. Around 30% of FW reduction at lunch was observed in the intervention group but not in the other groups. A decrease of almost half of the average weight was observed during the mid-morning break in the rest of primary groups. The results apparently show that addressing the FW issue in classrooms can have a very positive effect on children’s attitudes. As it is such a cross-cutting issue; it raises awareness about a large group of Sustainable Development Goals, and encourages these young citizens to make conscious decisions and to act responsibly.</text>

                <text>The 2003 outbreak of SARS in Canada, the heat wave of 2003 across Europe, the constant challenges to human health resulting from extreme climate events (e.g., hurricanes, typhoons, etc.) and the everyday problems of poor sanitation, air pollution and the lack of immunisation in the developing world point to the need for an effective local, national and even an international public health workforce (PHWF). In this paper, the challenges of creating an effective PHWF are at first placed in the context of health promotion and global changes. Using recent experience from the 2003 outbreak of SARS in Canada and work carried out for the Pan American Health Organization, defining the PHW and what is required of a PHW to meet the challenges of health promotion and global changes are discussed. We conclude by assessing the prospects for creating an effective PHW within the framework of health promotion and global changes.</text>

                <text>During the Covid-19 pandemic, everyone must be at home and keep a distance using a mask. The spread massively. It becomes the basis for all stakeholders to find solutions, both in the form of preventive (prevention) and curative (cure). One of the strategic educational media used to prevent and overcome covid-19 for the current generation of digital natives is through digital comics or webtoons. Comics in digital form has many advantages over printed comics. Based on this, the research aims to find out how the impact of the promotion of the National Defense Knight Comics through the Webtoon as an educational medium for preventing and controlling Covid-19 for the community. The method used is Research and Development (R&amp;D) using the Waterfall development model. The results of this review show that promoting comics of state defense knights through webtoons can become a medium of persuasion for education on preventing and overcoming Covid-19. The innovative education offered by the knight Bela Negara comic designs webtoon readers to be closer to the story and characters because it is more humane, so that they are able to show the effects in the form of responses, both cognitive (knowledge development), affective (through positive attitudes) and connective (action as the results of stimulating positive attitudes) related to the prevention and handling of covid-19.</text>
