<text>The National School Feeding Program is aimed at the supply of adequate food for schoolchildren of all Brazil. One of his most recent developments has been the creation of law nº 11.947/2009, which ensures they are invested at least 30% of the resources for purchase of small farming products (AF). This study aims to verify to what extent the public calls (CPs) performed by municipal administrations of Paraná State are appropriate in relation to the public who wish to accomplish and how much your goal is reached when it comes to purchasing effective when compared to products which requests. It is a quantitative character research conducted through the analysis of the public accounts and calls of municipalities in the State of Paraná in the year 2013. It was found that, in relation to the resources coming from Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Educação (FNDE), about 70% of the municipalities are for 30% or more for the purchase of small farming products. However, the demand for products that were in the public call the cities analysed was not fully effective. Of the total shipped by FNDE to municipalities surveyed, 22% was directed to the acquisition of small farming products via public call, but only 12.52% was actually paid to farmers. Thus, this study highlighted several issues, relating to public calls, such as the lack of price of products (in 7%), logistics (in 21%) and delivery frequency (in 93%), damaging your efficiency as an instrument of public procurement, making the PNAE reach their goals of promoting an appropriate power supply and sustainable development.</text>

<text>The objective of this study was to analyze the difficulties and the factors that condition the purchase Family farming´s products for school feeding from the perspective of social actors in the Paraná municipalities. Therefore, qualitative research was used with semi-structured interviews with family farmers, managers, rural extension professionals, members of the School Feeding Council in eight municipalities, in different population sizes and different macro-regions regions. The data were evaluated by thematic categorization for further analysis of content. Hurdles such as production planning, bureaucracy, logistic, lack of communication, among others, were referenced differently by groups of municipalities and actors such as difficulties in legislative enforcement. In municipalities where there are more participation, dialogue and partnerships between managers, farmers, advisors and rural extension there is a better utilization of resources that programs offers and this engagement is more evident in small and very small municipalities. In this regard, it highlights the importance of public policy for the viability of markets for family farming, but this is only effective with the participation of social actors.</text>

<text>In the last decade, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become a new technology that aims to facilitate life and help people in all aspects of their lives. This technology is used for smart homes, smart grid stations, smart agriculture, health systems, transport services, smart cities, etc. The number of sensors and IoT devices along with applications is used for monitoring the health condition of patients. These devices will monitor the movement of targeted patients at home or out of their homes. Based on their behavior and movement, the treatment will be provided to Alzheimer’s patients. The data will be collected from multiple sensors installed at patient’s homes and smartwatches for checking their blood pressure level and temperature, which is too important in the current Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic for these types of patients. On the other hand, due to the diminishing mobility of people around the world, increasing environmental pollution and stress which is caused by modern machine life and various brain and neurological diseases including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson, etc. are widespread among people all over the world. The different types of communication protocols such as Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) and WebSocket (with authentication and autoclosing of connection) for sensors and the smartwatch have been used. The secure backend admin panel is used for tracing the location of doctors, patients, and ambulance. These protocols are implemented with security to protect the privacy of patients also.</text>

<text>Two experiments were carried out during 2016 at the Anápolis Experimental Station of EMATER in the State of Goiás, with the aim of studying the yield of seeds of 18 strains and two indeterminate cultivars of the green bean, one experiment under a conventional system and the other under an organic system. A randomized block experimental design was used, with twenty treatments and three replications, to evaluate the mean number of seeds per pod (NSP), 100-seed weight (100SW) and productivity (PROD). Under the conventional system, the 100SW ranged from 19.3 to 25.0 grams. The highest productivity was achieved with the UEG 0212, UEG 0212, UEG 0712 and UEG 3014 strains, which were superior to the other strains, including the controls. Under the organic system, there was a range of 6.66 to 8.33 for the NSP, while for the 100SW, the range was from 23 to 32 grams. The UEG 0212, UEG 1012, UEG 2014 and UEG 3014 strains, all with cylindrical pods and white seeds, can be used as alternatives for planting, being superior to the ‘Favorito’ cultivar and equal to the ‘Macarrão Bragança’ cultivar, whereas UEG 1112 and UEG 0714, with cylindrical pods and cream-colored seeds, can be used as dual-adapted cultivars, with green pods and dry grain that can be used as end-of-cycle pods if there are defects that are not accepted by the market.</text>
