Emerging infectious diseases (EIDs) are a challenge for public health and biosurveillance infrastructure across the globe. These etiological agents, which cause EIDs, are primarily of zoonotic origin. Due to the complexity of zoonotic pathogens, research and response to EIDs must be a transdisciplinary effort. While crisis and circumstance may be the catalyst for responding to an outbreak, we can use the example of how transdisciplinary scientific collectives can be organized more in advance of crises, and therefore become transformative and perhaps even avert crisis (Pennington et al., 2013). Leading indicators that a cooperative engagement is producing value and is sustainable are based on the ideas of return of investment and do not regard the inherent importance of relationships. In this article, we apply the idea of return of relationships (ROR) and propose a method for measuring the return of relationships, using a systems dynamics modeling framework commonly used in epidemiology. Using the scientific collaboration that emerged from the Hanta Virus outbreak of 1993 in North America and a training workshop for biosurveillance of bats held in Singapore in 2014, we apply a methodology for visualizing and measuring the relationship networks and outcomes.

In this article we propose to undertake a reconstruction of the development of the 'Estación Enológica', next to 'Escuela Nacional de Vitivinicultura', between 1904 to 1920 in Mendoza province. This study is of vital importance as we consider this place was a pioneer center in the achievement of scientific and technical studies. These were the basis for the consolidation of quality wine industry , which had many shortcomings by then, and they triggered changes in Mendoza's agroindustry. Besides, Estación Enológica became a meeting place for people who graduated from that school to share experiences and concerns. Apart from carrying out the reconstruction of the development, we will also investigate possibilities of applying these studies to vineyardsEn el presente artículo nos proponemos realizar una reconstrucción de la trayectoria de la Estación Enológica de Mendoza, anexa a la Escuela Nacional de Vitivinicultura, desde 1904 a 1920. El mismo cobra vital importancia en tanto la consideramos un centro pionero en la realización de estudios científicos y técnicos que sirvieron de base a la consolidación de una vitivinicultura de calidad -y que por entonces contaba con múltiples deficiencias- y un impulsor de cambios técnicos en la agroindustria local. A su vez, su importancia radicaría en que fue un espacio aglutinador de las experiencias e inquietudes de los enólogos graduados de la mencionada Escuela. Introduction: Since the first case of SARS-CoV-2 was confirmed, the pandemic has experienced an almost uncontrollable increase in the number of cases. The scientific production plays a key role in the fight against the necessary control and eradication of the pandemic. From the very beginning, thousands of articles per day are produced at international level; furthermore, editorials and databases have made a great effort to give due priority and visibility to these contributions. Cuba has made significant efforts in this respect.Objective: To characterize the scientific production on COVID-19 in Cuban medical journals during the first ninety days after the start of the pandemic in Cuba.Material and Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study aimed at analyzing 100% of the scientific medical journals was conducted. Variables such as documental typology, institutional and collaborative affiliations, subject matter, country and time of publication, among others were identified.Results: In total, 58 % of the articles were published in medical journals and 31,1 % was a contribution by Medisur Journal, University of Medical Sciences in Cienfuegos. In addition, 77,8 % of the articles were written by Cuban health researchers, 22,6 % of the articles were Letters to the Editor and 20,8 % were original articles.Conclusions: Over the period studied, the national scientific production in Cuban medical journals is low taking into account that the Letters to the Editor are not actual research articles. Some subject areas in Medical Sciences such as Family Medicine, which could have contributed with their experiences in research work within the community, have not produced any scientific article during this period of time.

Cada país vivía su momento, sus preocupaciones, problemas políticos, actos de corrupción, elecciones, fenómenos climáticos, sin embarro y de forma inesperada surgió la pandemia por el coronavirus1-3.Algunos investigadores lo llaman el momento de la antropausa, los humanos no queremos entender lo que significa, la naturaleza pide a la humanidad una pausa, una acción efectiva, para reparar los ecosistemas dañados por el hombre, y recuperar en parte la pérdida de la biodiversidad. Todos los gobiernos tuvieron que cambiar sus planes y agendas, para investigar al agente infeccioso que se expandía a gran velocidad por el planeta y proteger a sus conciudadanos. La población acostumbrada a los viajes, a los momentos de placer, diversión, los negocios, producción de alimentos, etc., fueron afectados repentinamente de manera brusca y prematura, como si fuera un sueño, el cual ha roto nuestro modus vivendi, es decir nuestro esquema de comunicación, interrelación familiar, la concentración de masas en mercados, plazas, vías y medios de comunicación, y poco a poco estamos entrando a un nueva forma de vivir: con el distanciamiento social, el uso de la mascarilla y protectores faciales, el lavado manos por veinte segundos, que será parte de nuestra vida diaria 4,5.Es un acontecimiento mundial sin precedentes, cual es la pandemia de un agente viral y sus complicaciones en la salud humana. Muchos investigadores relacionaron a la destrucción de la naturaleza y la aparición de nuevas pandemias.La investigación en tiempos de pandemia continua y ha dado un giro con la aplicación y la programación on line, ejerciendo una fuerte influencia en las decisiones políticas durante esta pandemia, el papel de la investigación científica se enmarco, se enfrascó en control de la pandemia. Generando nuevas investigaciones en el campo de salud humana. Estas investigaciones continúan de manera acelerada, la producción de vacunas y la publicación de artículos científicos. Los investigadores lo llaman preprints o revisiones rápidas y transparentes, como una opción mucho más asequible en la comunidad científica, es una gran oportunidad para las comunidades científicas muchas veces relegada, es bueno reducir las barreras burocráticas, claro que tiene sus limitaciones. En cuanto a la brecha de género, muestra que las mujeres están iniciando con la publicación de manuscritos, iniciando así una nueva era durante la pandemia6.Nuestra revista internacional indexada Journal of the Selva Andina Research Society, que sigue laborando en tiempos de pandemia, continúa con su objetivo de promover y difundir investigaciones inéditas que generen impacto en la zona de influencia, con base a la normativa correspondiente7.

The topicality. The conditions of the pandemic lockdown prompted economic entities to restructure their activities in accordance with the new communication and operational rules. The service sector, the main purpose of which is the leisure organization, it has suffered the most from quarantine, as it has been banned. Therefore, some institutions have closed down, unable to withstand the crisis tendencies in the consumer market, financial pressure from landlords, and some have reformatted the business to new conditions of interaction with customers – remote services and delivery. Mitigation of quarantine has helped revive activities, but it is legitimate within the protocols and regulations of local and state authorities to prevent the spread of viral infections. Therefore, the management of economic entities implements compliance control, the purpose of which is to carry out economic activities in accordance with laws, regulations and protocols, deviation or ignoring which creates risks of reputational and financial losses. Compliance control identifies economic and reputational risks, carries out prevention and management, forming a set of real measures to protect business and its owners. Thus, the implementation of a compliance control system is an important component of the development strategy of economic entities, including the hotel business, and a relevant object of study. Purpose and methods. The purpose of the study is to theoretically analyze the compliance of hotel services and the formation of a model that identifies areas for improvement of hotel services in pandemic risks. The comparative nature of compliance as a category of proof of compliance with certain limitations contributed to the use in the research process of a set of general scientific methods, such as abstraction, analysis and synthesis, modeling, elimination of factors influencing the object of study, gap method for scoring compliance and allowed to substantiate the proposed imperatives of the framework conditions of compliance in the hotel business. Results. An empirical assessment of the financial losses of hotels from the pandemic caused by COVID-19 has been carried through inUkraine. The directions of compliance of hotel service have been formed. The imperatives of framework conditions of service in hotels in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic have been compiled. The compliance of hotel service compliance has been screened by the gap method. Conclusions and discussions. It is scientifically substantiated that the conceptualization of compliance control of hotel services is an urgent scientific task, as it allows to study the requirements for it and to comply with what is necessary in quarantine conditions. Further research needs to be deepened in order to assess the financial gaps in the implementation of the imperatives of the framework conditions in the business processes of the hotel, as well as to assess new forms of hotel services that have emerged in the world hotel business during the pandemic.

It is the need of the hour to strengthen international traffic regulations, if we really want to limit the onward spread of the infection to other nations. The recent recommendations released by the World Health Organization does not support travel or trade restrictions in nations which are reporting cases. Acknowledging all these facts and understanding about the disease as it continues to evolve, the best approach for the containment of the infection is to increase the awareness level of travellers about the preventive measures and to obtain the health declaration from travellers at the time of arrival. In conclusion, for the containment of COVID-19 outbreak and for minimizing the risk of further transmission, strengthening of the international traffic regulations will play a critical role.
