                <text>En el presente estudio se realizó un seguimiento de cinco años por teledetección del fenómeno de la precipitación de carbonato cálcico en la laguna kárstica de la Gitana o de la Cruz (situada en la provincia de Cuenca, España). Se conoce el importante papel que desempeña la precipitación del carbonato cálcico en la ecología del lago ya que influye en las migraciones verticales del fitoplancton, en la concentración de fósforo biodisponible y por ende, en la eutrofización y calidad de las aguas. El blanqueamiento sucede entre los meses de julio y agosto, pudiendo estudiarse en estas fechas a través de sus propiedades ópticas, con el objetivo principal de ofrecer datos actualizados de un fenómeno tradicionalmente estudiado y establecer posibles relaciones entre factores abióticos como la temperatura y/o precipitaciones. Los datos de temperatura del aire, recogidos por la estación meteorológica de Cuenca, sugieren una posible relación entre la aparición del fenómeno blanco y un pulso de temperaturas máximas previas. Por otra parte, no se encontró relación aparente entre las precipitaciones y el blanqueamiento del agua.</text>

                <text>O presente estudo buscou descrever a situação de segurança alimentar vivenciada por famílias de agricultores agroecológicos dos municípios de Choró, Massapê e Tauá, assistidos pela ONG ESPLAR no Ceará. Utilizou-se a Escala Brasileira de Insegurança Alimentar (EBIA), que tem o fator renda como principal determinante e uma escala adaptada da EBIA que leva em consideração a produção para autoconsumo. Foram investigadas 61 famílias de agricultores agroecológicos que continham em seu núcleo pelo menos um membro menor e outra com todos os membros maiores de 18 anos. Os resultados sugerem que o fator renda não foi o único determinante na segurança alimentar e nutricional desses agricultores, enfatizando a importância da produção para autoconsumo. A verificação da insegurança alimentar pela EBIA pode ser superestimada por não considerar a produção para o autoconsumo. Os métodos agroecológicos combinados com a troca de conhecimentos podem aumentar a segurança alimentar.</text>

                <text>Este artigo aborda o processo de implementação do Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos (PAA) e suas implicações no contexto do desenvolvimento rural e da segurança alimentar e nutricional das famílias beneficiadas. O estudo que originou o presente trabalho foi realizado junto a sessenta agricultores familiares distribuídos em três municípios do extremo sul gaúcho. As informações coletadas junto às comunidades rurais compuseram um banco de dados, que serviram de base para a nossa análise. Os autores objetivam demonstrar que a intervenção estatal pode ser capaz de interferir positivamente na dinâmica produtiva das famílias rurais, auxiliando na geração de renda, manutenção das práticas e cultivos tradicionais, na produção agroecológica, possibilitando, desta forma, novas perspectivas para a sua reprodução social. Através do fornecimento de alimentos ao PAA, grupos sociais marginalizados puderam ser incluídos no processo produtivo e a organização social da produção se viu favorecida nestas localidades. A valorização dos produtos locais/regionais pelo programa, atuou na retomada e manutenção das práticas de autoconsumo entre os beneficiados. Não menos importante, diagnosticamos diversos novos processos sociais provocados junto aos organismos que operam com o PAA nos municípios analisados, tornando-se esta política pública e as instituições a ela implicadas, como precursoras de uma nova dinâmica de desenvolvimento.</text>

                <text>Estudos sobre a situação nutricional ressaltam a redução da prevalência de desnutrição no Brasil. Embora ainda existam casos de comunidades sob risco de déficit nutricional, também se verifica uma elevação de níveis de sobrepeso e obesidade no país. Persistem condições negativas que impactam o estado nutricional da população, como a elevada concentração de renda, altos níveis de analfabetismo funcional e discriminação social e racial. É importante conhecer a evolução histórica das políticas públicas voltadas para a questão alimentar e nutricional para aprimorar o debate em torno do combate à fome e à desnutrição. O Programa Fome Zero, lançado em 2003, foi concebido em torno de quatro eixos, a saber: o acesso aos alimentos; o fortalecimento da agricultura familiar; a geração de renda; e a articulação, mobilização e controle social. Além dele, a Lei Orgânica, instituída em 2006, contribuiu para a construção do arcabouço legal da Política Nacional de Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional.</text>

                <text>A partir do processo de urbanização a questão da segurança alimentar e nutricional toma proporções alarmantes, visto o aumento dos índices de pobreza urbana. Nesse sentido, o presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar fragmentos de uma discussão acerca da segurança alimentar e nutricional, relacionados ao desenvolvimento da agricultura urbana, uma vez que essa se manifesta como uma alternativa para o combate à fome, à desnutrição e à pobreza, sobretudo da população urbana, tendo em vista que a carência nutricional adquirida na infância perdura por toda a vida do individuo. Metodologicamente fundamentou-se numa pesquisa e análise bibliográfica e documental, através de livros, artigos, dissertações e documentos eletrônicos que abordam sobre o tema. Para exemplificar, fez-se um levantamento e análise de dados quantitativos junto à Organização Pan-Americana da Saúde e à Pastoral da Criança, atuante em dois bairros da cidade de Montes Claros, a partir dos dados obtidos gerou-se um mapa da distribuição da pobreza no Brasil, por regiões e gráficos relativos à desnutrição infantil nos bairros. A título de conclusão percebe-se que se torna cada vez mais urgente a busca de alternativas mais eficazes e contínuas para os problemas relacionados à insegurança alimentar e nutricional, considerando que a fome é um flagelo que só tem aumentado nos últimos anos, apesar das várias iniciativas implementadas para minimizar o problema em todo o mundo.</text>

                <text>O objetivo deste estudo foi validar o conteúdo e a aparência de um álbum seriado para a promoção da segurança alimentar por meio da utilização dos alimentos regionais. Trata-se de pesquisa metodológica, realizada com doze juízes no período de abril a junho de 2010, analisando figuras e fichas-roteiros do álbum seriado quanto à validade de aparência (clareza/compreensão) e de conteúdo (relevância). Em relação à validação de aparência das figuras, a clareza e a compreensibilidade variaram entre 83,3% e 100%; e, em relação às fichas-roteiros, 91,6% dos juízes julgaram ser compreensivas. O Índice de Validade de Conteúdo global das figuras foi 0,95 e o das fichas-roteiros foi de 0,98. Dessa maneira, o álbum seriado pode ser considerado uma nova ferramenta educativa e está validado para ser utilizado pelo profissional de enfermagem durante a consulta de puericultura para promoção da saúde infantil.</text>

Investigación metodológica, con doce evaluadores, realizada entre abril y junio de 2010, analizando figuras y fichas-guión del álbum seriado respecto a la validad de apariencia (claridad/comprensión) y de contenido (relevancia). En lo referente a la validación de apariencia de las figuras, la claridad y comprensibilidad varió entre 83,3% a 100%; y en relación a las fichas-guión, 91,6% de los evaluadores las calificaron como comprensibles. El Índice de Contenido Global de las figuras fue 0,95 y el de las fichas-guión de 0,98. De tal manera, el álbum seriado puede considerarse una nueva herramienta educativa, que está validada para ser utilizada por el profesional de enfermería durante la consulta de puericultura para la promoción de salud infantil.The objective of the study was to validate the content and appearance of a serial album created for the promotion of food safety and utilizing regional foods. This methodological study was performed with 12 judges between April and June of 2010, who analyzed pictures and discussion cards from the serial album in terms of the appearance (clarity/comprehension) and content (relevance) validity. Regarding the appearance validation of the pictures, clarity and comprehensibility ranged between 83.3% and 100%; regarding the discussion cards, 91.6% of the judges considered them to be comprehensible. The Global Content Validity Index was 0.95 for the pictures and 0.98 for the discussion cards. Therefore, the serial album is considered to be a valuable new educational tool, validated for use by nursing professionals in child care and aiming at the promotion of children's health.</text>
