A variedade Raio de Sol possui maior crescimento em relação às demais, entretanto a cultivar Rajada apresentou maior aclimatização às condições salinas principalmente com uso do esterco bovino na concentração de 24%. O esterco bovino atenua o efeito nocivo da salinidade, entretanto doses excessivas em altas salinidades podem ser prejudiciais ao feijoeiro-fava. The choice of a variety by growers depends on the expected price it will fetch along with the commercial and crop characteristics and the quality. Survival of a variety in the marketplace depends on the performance as expected and on the existence of other more competitive varieties. The aim of this study was to provide a detailed characterization of the vascular alterations during SARS-CoV-2 infection and to evaluate the impaired vascular integrity. Groups of ten golden Syrian hamsters were infected intranasally with SARS-CoV-2 or phosphate-buffered saline (mock infection). Necropsies were performed at 1, 3, 6, and 14 days post-infection (dpi). Lung samples were investigated using hematoxylin and eosin, alcian blue, immunohistochemistry targeting aquaporin 1, CD3, CD204, CD31, laminin, myeloperoxidase, SARS-CoV-2 nucleoprotein, and transmission electron microscopy. SARS-CoV-2 infected animals showed endothelial hypertrophy, endothelialitis, and vasculitis. Inflammation mainly consisted of macrophages and lower numbers of T-lymphocytes and neutrophils/heterophils infiltrating the vascular walls as well as the perivascular region at 3 and 6 dpi. Affected vessels showed edema formation in association with loss of aquaporin 1 on endothelial cells. In addition, an ultrastructural investigation revealed disruption of the endothelium. Summarized, the presented findings indicate that loss of aquaporin 1 entails the loss of intercellular junctions resulting in paracellular leakage of edema as a key pathogenic mechanism in SARS-CoV-2 triggered pulmonary lesions. This work intends to evaluate the effect of inoculation from a fine root preparation on the vegetative growth of cowpea in comparison to commercial inoculation, urea fertilization and combinations thereof. The design was completely randomized with four replicates and the following treatments: T1: Witness; T2: Inoculum with roots; T3: Commercial inoculum; T4: Inoculum with roots + fertilization with urea in coverage; T5: Commercial inoculum + fertilization with urea under cover and T6: Fertilization with urea under cover. Root inoculation treatment plus cover nitrogen fertilization provided higher root length (57.25 cm) compared to treatment with only nitrogen fertilization in the cover (42.00 cm). In relation to the number of nodules at the 48 DAE, it was verified that the inoculation with roots was superior to the control and the nitrogenous fertilization in coverage. It was also observed that the SPAD index was lower in the control (40.25 g kg -1) and in urea fertilization (40.55 g kg -1). Fertilization with 20 kg ha-1 of urea resulted in lower root and shoot growth, number of nodules, dry mass of the plant part and SPAD index. The use of root inoculation is a viable alternative for the family farmer and agroecological based producers, but it needs to be evaluated in the field. Para esto, se hizo un análisis de las limitaciones y capacidades de los sistemas anemométricos existentes, se diseñó un aeroplano no tripulado capaz de llevar un anemómetro sónico y se realizaron experimentos de campo. Los experimentos revelaron que el sistema puede medir !uctuaciones de viento, no obstante la !uctuación vertical fue mayor que la de la estación terrestre. Esto motivó el desarrollo de un modelo computacional de la aeronave a 'n de cuanti'car la perturbación del avión en las mediciones. Un análisis estocástico reveló una exactitud por el orden de ±0.11 m/s. La mayor fuente de error provino del sistema de mediciones inerciales.
