La agricultura de precisión busca mejorar la eficiencia productiva, a partir de la variabilidad del agroecosistema. Para ello, se deben delimitar zonas homogéneas de manejo (ZM), dentro del lote de cultivo. Los sensores de inducción electromagnética (IM), que registran la conductividad eléctrica aparente (CEa), permiten identificar variaciones en propiedades del suelo y, por consiguiente, definir, en forma rápida y confiable, zonas con características similares. La investigación tuvo como objetivo delimitar ZM, con fines de manejo específico por sitio (MES), usando un sensor IM en suelos productores de maíz (Zea mays L.), de la Sabana de Bogotá. Para ello, se escogieron dos lotes en los que se sembró maíz, en los municipios de Facatativá y de Bojacá y, en estos, se midió la CEa y el contenido de agua en el suelo (Wsc). Se elaboraron mapas de CEa y Wsc y se delimitaron tres ZM, dentro de cada lote. En esas ZM, se tomaron muestras edáficas para análisis fisicoquímico de laboratorio y se determinó altura de planta, índice SPAD a los 60 y 120ddg y rendimiento del cultivo. El análisis estadístico, se realizó con SPSS V22 y SAS V 2.5. Los resultados mostraron correlaciones entre la CEa y el contenido de limo en Bojacá y el de arcilla en Facatativá y diferencias estadísticas significativas en los rendimientos de maíz entre ZM. Esta investigación destaca la utilidad del sensor IM para delimitar ZM, con fines de MES.

Entre os mecanismos de planejamento à disposição do Poder Público e passíveis de serem utilizados no planejamento territorial está o Zoneamento Ecológico-Econômico – ZEE –, que busca a compatibilização entre o desenvolvimento econômico e a qualidade ambiental. O objetivo deste trabalho é determinar zonas para promoção ou implantação de cultivo de alimentos orgânicos no município de Arroio do Meio/RS. O estudo desenvolveu duas propostas com o objetivo de reconhecer as características ambientais e territoriais do município e a vocação das diferentes áreas no que tange à ocupação antrópica e à conservação ambiental: 1) ZEE com a indicação dos usos e ações recomendados para a utilização racional do território; 2) rotinas de apoio à decisão para a determinação da aptidão. Os resultados das duas avaliações apontaram que o município apresenta aproximadamente 40% de sua área enquadrada como zona de uso intensivo, apresentando aptidão para a promoção da produção de alimentos orgânicos.Abstract Among the planning mechanisms available to the Government that could be used in territorial planning is the ecological-economic zoning - EEZ, which seeks forreconcilement between economic development and environmental quality. The aim of this study is to determine areas for the introduction and development of organic foods cultivation in the municipality of Arroio do Meio/RS/BR. The study has developed two proposals in order to recognize the territorial and environmental characteristics of the municipality and the vocation of different areas regarding anthropogenic occupation and environmental conservation: 1) EEZ indicating the uses and actions recommended for the rational use of the territory, 2) decision support routines for the determination of aptitude. The results of both evaluations pointed out that the city has approximately 40% of the framed area as a zone of intensive use,showing ability to promote organic foods production.

La intensificación de la actividad agrícola aumenta la productividad y rentabilidad a la vez que incrementa los costos ambientales. La comprensión de la problemática demanda un cambio de enfoque que promueva el sostenimiento de los sistemas ambientales y los servicios ecosistémicos (SE) que proveen. En este escenario, aportar al conocimiento de los sistemas ambientales y los SE que brindan los territorios constituye una preocupación central en distintos ámbitos de gestión. En ese marco, surge como objetivo realizar una Zonificación Agroecológica (ZAE) del partido de Tandil e identificar el potencial de cada unidad territorial para proveer servicios de abastecimiento y regulación. Mediante la utilización de un SIG se definieron trece Unidades Agroecológicas (UAE´s): zonas homogéneas en cuanto a sus principales características ecológicas y agrarias. La ZAE introduce una base metodológica útil, transferible y necesaria para el desarrollo de una agricultura sostenible que considere las potencialidades y limitaciones para la provisión de SE.

E l objetivo del presente trabajo fue determinar la existencia de diferenciación morfológica (como indicador de variación genética) entre poblaciones de Abies religiosa , con la finalidad de delimitar una zonificación altitudinal para decidir el movimiento de semillas en los progra - mas de reforestación. Se recolectaron y analizaron morfológicamente ramas y conos de 11 in - dividuos de 15 poblaciones de A. religiosa en el cerro de San Andrés, municipio de Hidalgo, Michoacán (cercano a la Reserva de la Biósfera de la Mariposa Monarca), a lo largo de un transecto altitudinal (2,850-3,550 m, una población cada 50 m). La diferenciación morfológica significativa entre poblacio - nes se determinó a lo largo del gradiente altitudinal; las poblaciones de baja altitud tienen acículas más cortas y conos más largos que las poblaciones de elevada altitud. Se sugiere delimitar tres zonas altitu - dinales provisionales: 2,800 a 3,050; 3,050 a 3,300; y 3,300 a 3,550 m. Ignorando el cambio climático, se sugiere reforestar cada zona con planta originada de la semilla en la misma zona. Considerando el cambio climático, se sugiere realizar migración asistida altitudinalmente, plantando sitios en la zona inmediata superior a la zona donde la semilla se recolecte.

En el presente artículo se analizan los antecedentes de la zonificación ambiental participativa (ZAP), teniendo como principal pretensión aportar elementos conceptuales y metodológicos para una planeación incluyente. La ZAP es un instrumento definido en el marco de la construcción del plan de zonificación ambiental propuesto en el Acuerdo Final para la Terminación del Conflicto y la Construcción de una Paz Estable y Duradera, concretamente en el punto 1. Hacia un nuevo campo colombiano: Reforma Rural Integral. Allí se presenta como una herramienta angular e innovadora que puede transformar los ejercicios de planificación ambiental, a partir de la participación efectiva de las comunidades locales, y contribuir a la construcción de apuestas territoriales para la identificación de las áreas de especial interés ambiental, el cierre de la frontera agropecuaria y la búsqueda de alternativas equilibradas para las comunidades locales en las zonas rurales. Abstract: This article analyzes the background of Participatory Environmental Zoning (ZAP), with the main intention of providing conceptual and methodological elements for inclusive planning. The ZAP understood as an instrument defined in the framework of the construction of the environmental zoning plan proposed in the peace effort, in the first point called Integral Rural Reform, as an angular and innovative tool that could transform environmental planning exercises, based in the effective participation of local communities and contributing to the construction of territorial resources for the identification of areas of special environmental interest, the agricultural frontier and the search for balanced alternatives for local communities in rural areas. La mayor parte de las cuencas de la región del Valle Central de Cochabamba (Bolivia) presenta erosión de suelo; escasa cobertura vegetal y períodos de lluvia intensa y de corta duración que ocasionalmente generan crecidas de ríos violentas de escorrentías que, como consecuencia directa, producen desastres que afectan a la infraestructura urbana y rural. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue zonificar los aspectos biofísicos de la cuenca Khora Tiquipaya, empleando imágenes satelitales, modelo digital de elevación (MDE), mapa de pendientes, y de relieve. Se describieron los perfiles de suelos siguiendo el modelo USDA y FAO. Las muestras se analizaron químicamente in situ. Luego del procesamiento de la información se lograron los siguientes resultados: 1) identificación de formaciones geológicas, tipos de depósitos, deslizamientos, relieves, taxonomía del suelo, cobertura y uso; 2) determinación del área de las unidades de paisaje en ha; y 3) formulación de una propuesta de manejo sostenible para la cuenca. La utilización de estas herramientas contribuye significativamente a la interpretación en grandes superficies de estudio, optimizando recursos y tiempo, para la gestión adecuada de la toma de decisiones en un contexto de desarrollo sostenible deseado.

Literature on art education often emphasizes dialogue as a preferred approach and as a way of practicing democratic education in museums and galleries. Dialogue-based tours in such contexts are often characterized by a sense of harmony and agreement. In contrast, this article discusses the democratic aspect and political potentiality when dissensus and agonism are used as central educational strategies. The point of departure for the discussion was a teaching session on the online platform Zoom with student teachers as part of their module on art and crafts at the University of Agder in Kristiansand, Norway, in spring 2020. Artworks from the exhibition Dry Joy, in Sørlandet Art Museum, by Finnish photographer Iiu Susiraja, were the pivot point in the session. Before the lockdown caused by COVID-19, the exhibition caused intense debates. The strong reactions were particularly prevalent amongst parents whose children had witnessed the exhibition as part of a school trip. A central part of the teaching session was encouraging students to come up with and explore arguments both for and against exposure of school children to these images. This article aims to contribute to knowledge about how educational strategies that challenge consensus may enable democratic arenas beyond hegemony.

Individuals are finding themselves staring at their own video reflection, often for hours a day, scrutinizing a distorted image on screen and developing a negative self-perception. This survey study of over 100 board-certified dermatologists across the country elucidates a new problem of Zoom dysmorphia, where patients seek cosmetic procedures to improve their distorted appearance on video-conferencing calls.

Las epidemias han acompañado a la humanidad a lo largo de toda su historia y han recibido diversas explicaciones. En Grecia clásica se atribuían a los disgustos entre los dioses; el judeocristianismo las atribuyó a los pecados de la humanidad. Hoy la ciencia da explicaciones claras, pero la humanidad no actúa en consecuencia. El problema es que las pandemias son los únicos eventos que superan a las guerras en pérdidas y, de entre ellas, el 70 % se debe a zoonosis: eso indica que debemos relacionarnos de otra manera con los animales. Zooplankton is studied in the ancient, tectonic, oligomictic and oligotrophic Lake Ohrid (Macedonia, South Eastern Europe). The main aim of this study was to assess the seasonal and spatial patterns of the zooplankton functional feeding guilds in relation to the environmental conditions. Metalimnion of the lake was detected as the most productive environment, where biomass of the phytoplankton and abundance of the zooplankton reached their maxima. Pelagial zooplankton of low abundance (25 ± 22 ind. L−1) consisted of 16 species including two endemic copepods, Arctodiaptomus steindachneri (Richard, 1897) and Cyclops ochridanus (Kiefer, 1932). Copepods obtained remarkable share (60%) in the zooplankton assemblage. Microphagous zooplankton was mainly comprised of the most abundant rotifer Kellicottia longispina (Kellicott, 1879) in summer, and copepod nauplii during the spring Eudiaptomus gracilis (Sars, 1862) and C. ochridanus, and autumn C. ochridanus. Due to their requirements for the bacterio-detritus suspension, this microphagous zooplankton occupied aphotic hypolimnion during the entire study period. Raptorials were typically represented by copepodites and adult copepods in the metalimnion, and were significantly and positively affected by temperature (r = 0.417, p = 0.001), dissolved oxygen (r = 0.463, p = 0.0001) and, particularly, phytoplankton biomass (r = 0.708, p < 0.00001). This is the first study in which the link between the lower and higher trophic levels is investigated in Lake Ohrid.
