In this paper, we try to provide some answers to these questions, analyzing the issue from medical, geographical and planning points of view. With reference to the Italian case, we observed the phenomenon in terms of the spatial diffusion process and by observing the relation between the epidemic and various environmental elements. In particular, we started from a hypothesis of the comparable economic, geographical, climatic and environmental conditions of the areas of Wuhan (in the Hubei Province in China, where the epidemic broke out) and the Po Valley area (in Italy) where most cases and deaths were registered. Via an ecological approach, we compared the spatial distribution and pattern of COVID-19-related mortality in Italy with several geographical, environmental and socio-economic variables at a Provincial level, analyzing them by means of spatial analytical techniques such as LISA (Local Indicators of Spatial Association). Possible evidence arose relating to COVID-19 cases and Nitrogen-related pollutants and land take, particularly in the Po Valley area.</text>

                <text>This research develops from a set of basic geographical questions about the outbreak of Covid-19 out of China in Europe. The questions dealt with why and why with such strength Italy has been seriously hit, one of the most important cases in terms of death toll out of Hubei Province and mainland China, in the world, making the country a worldwide study case for epidemic concentration and diffusion. Questions were also related to geographical similarities among the areas hit, and particularly the Po Valley region and Wuhan metropolitan region in Hubei province, and also related to why such a divide of the virus spreading was identified in Italy between Northern and Central and Southern regions and provinces. In order to try to give an answer these questions, authors realized a vast and articulated database of indicators at provincial level in Italy, performing several geographical analyses - ecological approach - based on Spatial autocorrelation and Geographical Weighted Regression, coming to the conclusion that aspects such as land take, pollution can seriously influence the phenomenon and justify a pattern as that observable in Italy. The analyses and observation of the phenomenon also suggests that policies based on urban regeneration, sustainable mobility, green infrastructures, ecosystem services can create a more sustainable scenario able to support the quality of public health.</text>

                <text>Las avalanchas de detritos, asociadas a colapsos parciales de edificios volcánicos, son fenómenos comunes en la evolución de un volcán. Este tipo de flujos son por inestabilidades, que pueden deberse a factores tales como la existencia de zonas afectadas por alteración hidrotermal, cambios climáticos, terremotos, intrusión de magmas en zonas superficiales (criptodomos y/o diques) y/o movimiento de fallas bajo el edificio volcánico o cercanas a él. El producto final de estos flujos -denominado depósito de avalancha de detritos (DAD)- presenta morfologías típicas de cerrillos y drenajes cerrados. En los Andes Centrales se han reconocido, al menos, 14 centros volcánicos con depósitos de avalancha asociados, entre los que está el volcán Tata Sabaya (Bolivia). El colapso que ha dado origen a este depósito podría haberse generado por una combinación de actividad sísmica y magmática en el volcán. El depósito asociado al colapso parcial de este volcán se distribuye sobre la parte baja del flanco sur del volcán y sobre la parte noroccidental de la cuenca del salar de Coipasa. Cubre una superficie de más de 230 km² y tiene un volumen estimado de 6±1 km³. Sobre la base de las composiciones litológicas, se ha establecido que el depósito está constituido por 6 tipos distintos de cerrillos, los cuales son: lávicos, piroclásticos, sedimentarios mixtos, brecha piroclástica y andesítico-basálticos. Considerando el tipo predominante de cerrillos y su distribución espacial dentro del depósito, se ha definido 6 facies diferentes (Facies de Bloques Toreva, Facies de Cerrillos Volcánicos, Facies Central, Facies de Cerrillos Sedimentarios, Facies Mixta y Facies de Cerrillos de Brecha Piroclástica). Tomando en cuenta la distribución espacial de estas facies, se propone la estructura del paleovolcán previa a su colapso parcial.Debris avalanches associated with partial sector collapse of volcanic edifices are common phenomena in the evolution of a volcano. These flows are formed by edifice instability, which could be due to several factors such as the presence of hydrother-mally altered areas, climatic changes, earthquakes, shallow magma intrusions (cryptodomes and/or dykes) and/or fault activity beneath or close to the volcano. The final product of this avalanche flow, known as debris avalanche deposit (DAD) shows typical hummocky and closed drainage morphologies. More than 14 volcanic centers of the Central Andes have volcanic DAD's, being Tata Sabaya (Bolivia) one of them. The collapse that has originated the deposit could have been generated by a combination of magmatic and seismic activity in the volcano. The deposit associated to the partial collapse of Tata Sabaya volcano is distributed on its lower southern flank and partially fills the north-western part of the Salar de Coipasa basin. The deposit covers a minimum area of 230 km² and has an estimated minimum volume of 6±1 km³. The deposit is formed by 6 different types of hummocks, according to their compositions: lavic, pyroclastic, sedimentary, mixed, pyroclastic breccia and basaltic-andesitic hummocks. Based on the predominant hummock type and the spatial distribution, the deposit has been divided into 6 different facies (Toreva Block Facies, Volcanic Hummocks Facies, Central Facies, Sedimentary Hummocks Facies, Mixed Facies and Pyroclastic Breccia Hummocks Facies). Taking into account the facies distribution and their characteristics, we infer the pre-collapse structure of the volcano.</text>

                <text>The purpose of this article is to report the experience of the Department of Hospital Pharmacy of a mid-size hospital during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The human and material resources available in a mid-size hospital were more limited than in larger hospitals of the region. In this article, we describe how this Department of Hospital Pharmacy was reorganized to meet the increase in activity, the strategies developed and the  lessons learned for future pandemics. The COVID-19 pandemic had a higher  impact in Leganes, a city in the south of Madrid, with a population of 190,000.  In the face of the dramatic increase in the proportion of patients attending our  hospital between March and April 2020, the Severo Ochoa University Hospital  increased the number of beds by 24.5% and fitted out new premises inside and  outside the hospital (sports centers). The mean number of patients seen in our  Emergency Department every day passed from 70-80 to a peak of 286 patients, with 652 hospitalized patients. The situation of emergency created by  this infectious disease, with management protocols changing constantly, had a  dramatic impact on the activity of hospital pharmacies. Thus, the pandemic has  affected areas of economic management, magistral preparation, dispensing of  medication to inpatients, ambulatory patients, patients monitored at home,  institutionalized patients, and patients from private hospitals and field hospitals.  Other areas affected include training, clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, and  counseling boards. Two strategies were adopted to overcome these problems: a  strategy centered on human resources (staff reinforcement, reallocation of  responsibilities), and a strategy centered on processes (some processes were  reinforced to meet the increase in activity, whereas other were temporarily suspended or reduced to the minimum).Conclusions: The Department of Hospital Pharmacy plays a key role  in hospitals and has been significantly reinforced to meet the dramatic impact of  the pandemic on this service. This Department has been able to reorganize its  processes and take over new responsibilities such as telepharmacy and home  dispensing. Hospital pharmacies play a crucial role in  pharmacotherapeutic decisions in hospitals. As in other Departments, training is  the area more significantly affected by the pandemic.</text>

O trabalho foi conduzido na área experimental da Estação Agrometeorológica da Universidade Federal do Ceará, em Fortaleza, no período de setembro a novembro de 2013. O delineamento experimental empregado foi inteiramente casualizado, em um esquema fatorial 4 x 2, referente aos substratos (S1 = areia + arisco + composto orgânico; S2 = areia + arisco + biofertilizante de caranguejo; S3 = areia + arisco + biofertilizante bovino de fermentação aeróbia; S4 = areia + arisco + biofertilizante bovino de fermentação anaeróbia), com duas condutividades elétricas da água de irrigação (0,8 e 5,0 dS m-1), com 5 repetições. Foram analisadas as seguintes variáveis: número de folhas, diâmetro do caule, área foliar e altura de plantas, matéria seca da parte aérea, da raiz e total. O S3 e o S4 proporcionam maior altura de planta e área foliar nas plantas irrigadas com água de baixa salinidade. As plantas cultivadas com o S3 e S4 apresentaram maiores valores em número de folhas, diâmetro do caule, matéria seca da parte aérea, da raiz e total.  Palavras-chave: Helianthusannuus L.                 <text>La investigación se llevó a cabo en la región mazateca de Oaxaca; una de las regiones indígenas más pobres de México y tuvo por objetivo determinar la influencia del conocimiento otorgado por la metodología llamada Escuelas de Campo, sobre la disponibilidad alimentaria básica, de campesinos indígenas orientados principalmente a la producción de maíz para autoconsumo. A una muestra de 36 participantes en Escuelas de Campo y a un grupo testigo de igual tamaño, les fueron aplicados 72 cuestionarios. En el procesamiento estadístico utilizamos ANOVA, Comparación múltiple y Correlaciones con niveles de significancia.Encontramos que el nivel de conocimientos en Escuelas de Campo es directamente proporcional a la disponibilidad alimentaria básica de maíz. Esto implica, para similares geografías físicas y humanas, que al aumentar el nivel de conocimientos relevantes mediante Escuelas de Campo, dicha metodología constituye una herramienta potencial en la lucha contra el hambre.</text>

Objetivo: analizar el impacto del PCC sobre la desnutrición de niñez en edad escolar en un ejido rural indígena de la zona alta cafetalera de Tapachula, Chiapas, México, tras dos años de su instrumentación, se analizó bajo el enfoque de seguridad alimentaria. Metodología: Se realizó un estudio de casos explicativo en el que se evaluó el estado de nutrición de 31 menores de cinco años en 2014 y posteriormente en 2016.                 <text>En base al material de egagrópilas de 191 localidades del País Vasco y de zonas de Burgos y La Rioja, se han estudiado diversos aspectos de la ecología de los pequeños mamíferos. El cálculo de las líneas de diversidad permite construir un paralelismo entre la línea para H'= 1.5 y la isoyeta de 800 mm.   Se puede observar una fuerte correlación entre la precipitación y la diversidad. Las líneas de porcentaje muestran la distribución de las especies en el territorio en estudio. La matriz de correlación entre las diferentes especies muestra por un lado un grupo de especies centroeuropeas: Crocidura   suaveolens, Sorex coronatus, S. minutus, Neomys fodiens, Pitymys pyrenaicus, Microtus agrestis y Microtus minutus, y por otro un grupo de especies mediterráneas: Mus sp., Suncus etruscus y   Pitymys duodecimcostatus. Entre las variables ambientales analizadas se puede destacar la  precipitación, correlacionada significativamente con 11 especies, mientras la isoterma media anual presenta, únicamente, 6 correlaciones significativas.</text>

                <text>COVID-19 patients shed SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA in their stool, sometimes well after they have cleared their respiratory infection. This feature of the disease may be significant for patient health, epidemiology, and diagnosis. However, to date, methods to preserve stool samples from COVID patients, and to extract and quantify viral RNA concentration have yet to be optimized. We sought to meet this urgent need by developing and benchmarking a standardized protocol for the fecal detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA. We test three preservative conditions for their ability to yield detectable SARS-CoV-2 RNA: OMNIgene-GUT, Zymo DNA/RNA shield kit, and the most common condition, storage without any preservative. We test these in combination with three extraction kits: the QIAamp Viral RNA Mini Kit, Zymo Quick-RNA Viral Kit, and MagMAX Viral/Pathogen Kit. Finally, we also test the utility of two detection methods, ddPCR and RT-qPCR, for the robust quantification of SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA from stool. We identify that the Zymo DNA/RNA shield collection kit and the QiaAMP viral RNA mini kit yield more detectable RNA than the others, using both ddPCR and RT-qPCR assays. We also demonstrate key features of experimental design including the incorporation of appropriate controls and data analysis, and apply these techniques to effectively extract viral RNA from fecal samples acquired from COVID-19 outpatients enrolled in a clinical trial. Finally, we recommend a comprehensive methodology for future preservation, extraction and detection of RNA from SARS-CoV-2 and other coronaviruses in stool.</text>
