<text>The objective of this study was to analyze the difficulties and the factors that condition the purchase Family farming´s products for school feeding from the perspective of social actors in the Paraná municipalities. Therefore, qualitative research was used with semi-structured interviews with family farmers, managers, rural extension professionals, members of the School Feeding Council in eight municipalities, in different population sizes and different macro-regions regions. The data were evaluated by thematic categorization for further analysis of content. Hurdles such as production planning, bureaucracy, logistic, lack of communication, among others, were referenced differently by groups of municipalities and actors such as difficulties in legislative enforcement. In municipalities where there are more participation, dialogue and partnerships between managers, farmers, advisors and rural extension there is a better utilization of resources that programs offers and this engagement is more evident in small and very small municipalities. In this regard, it highlights the importance of public policy for the viability of markets for family farming, but this is only effective with the participation of social actors.</text>

<text>First analyses of the development of agriculture capitalism have indicated that modernization presided by the logic of urban industry would make this activity in small production units impossible. Contemporary analyses have confirmed this thesis. These small units of production that have invested strongly in modernizing their technical basis, and targeted their production exclusively to the market, have not had any satisfactory economic returns to reduce their debts, being constantly in crisis and dependent on state politics. On the other hand, those familiar units , where farmers have learned how to balance traditional with modern knowledge and to connect production for self-consumption to market production, have developed greater capacity for surviving the crisis that usually hit the market.

In the field, we studied temporal variation of their spatial distribution, density, and diet composition. While in the laboratory, we quantified the consumption rate, alimentary preferences, ingestion times and energy profitability obtained with different types of prey using experiments and video recording. High densities of A. monodon individuals were observed in the intertidal fringe near at the level tide zero. In the field, A. monodon actively foraged at night preying mainly on mussels (95 %) and barnacles (5 %). Temporal variation in diet composition of A. monodon was caused mostly by changes in the cover of different mussel species during the two years of sampling. In the laboratory, individual of A. monodon showed significant preference for the mussel Semimytilus algosus. In these experiments, A. monodon's foraging behavior maximized the net gain of energy by selecting species and sizes of prey that provided the greatest energy profitability</text>

<text>The COVID-19 pandemic has presented significant challenges for medical schools. It is critical to ensure final year medical school students are not delayed in their entry to the clinical workforce in times of healthcare crisis. However, proceeding with assessment to determine competency for graduation from medical school, and maintaining performance standards for graduating doctors is an unprecedented challenge under pandemic conditions. This challenge is hitherto uncharted territory for medical schools and there is scant guidance for medical educators. In early March 2020, Duke-National University Singapore Medical School embraced the challenge for ensuring competent final year medical students could complete their final year of studies and graduate on time, to enter the medical workforce in Singapore without delay. This paper provides details of how the final year clinical performance examinations were planned and conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of the paper is to provide guidance to other medical schools in similar circumstances who need to plan and make suitable adjustments to clinical skills examinations under current pandemic conditions. The paper illustrates how it is possible to design and implement clinical skills examinations (OSCEs) to ensure the validity and reliability of high-stakes performance assessments whilst protecting the safety of all participants, minimising risk and maintaining defensibility to key stakeholders.</text>
