                <text>Since February 2020, Italy has been faced with the dramatic spread of novel Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. This impetuous pandemic infection forced many hospitals to reorganize their healthcare systems. Predicting a rapid spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus within our region, the Department for Women’s and Children’s Health promptly decided (i) to revise the distribution of the clinical areas in order to create both designated COVID-19 and COVID-19-free areas with their own access, (ii) to reinforce infection prevention control (IPC) measures for all healthcare workers and administrative staff and (iii) to adopt the new “double-gate approach”: a phone call pre-triage and nasopharyngeal swab for SARS-CoV-2 detection before the admission of all patients and caregivers. Between 21 February 2020 till 04 May 2020, only seven physicians, two nurses and two of the administrative staff resulted positive, all during the first week of March. No other cases of intra-department infection were documented among the healthcare workers since all the preventive procedures described above were implemented. It is predicted that similar situations can happen again in the future, and thus, it is necessary to be more prepared to deal with them than we were at the beginning of this COVID-19 pandemic.</text>

                <text>This research focuses on teaching–learning behavior in the online environment under crisis conditions, such as those caused by COVID-19. Data were collected from 427 participants from Central and Eastern Europe and North and Central Asia. An integrative mixed method design was used, combining components of both qualitative and quantitative research. The research method used was the inquiry based on a semi-structured questionnaire, which combined closed items with open-ended and semi-structured interviews. The quantitative results revealed significant differences between professors and students regarding the self-reported adaptability level, creativity, need for help in online teaching–learning, and collaboration with colleagues for solving problems in the online teaching–learning medium. The opinions of professors do not differ from those of students regarding the advantages, disadvantages, vulnerable areas, and aspects of online education. Thematic analysis, used to analyze the qualitative data, emphasized the participants’ perceptions of online teaching–learning efficiency in crises. Based on the results, it was concluded that the aspects that need to become a priority in online education concern mainly the didactic quality of the learning experience.</text>

Method: this is a cross-sectional study conducted with 5,291 individuals from the five Brazilian macro-regions from June to July 2020. A sociodemographic questionnaire, a semi-structured questionnaire and the Instrument for Assessing tolerance in friendship relationships were applied. Linear regression was used for data analysis. Results: Results: Results: 88.9% considered tolerance in relationships of friendship satisfactory at home, 82.8% had help from friends to overcome tensions and 73% perceived a change in friendship relationships during quarantine. Being female, white and receiving higher income contributed to higher levels of tolerance in friendship relationships. Higher educational level, receiving help from friends during quarantine, and changing friendship relationships led to lower levels of tolerance. Conclusion: . Conclusion: clusion:some sociodemographic and emotional factors are associated with the level of tolerance in friendship relationships, requiring the development of strategic actions aimed at such factors, especially those modifiable, such as income and schooling.</text>

                <text>INTRODUCCIÓN: La morbimortalidad por la enfermedad por el nuevo coronavirus (COVID-19) constituye un problema de salud pública en la Provincia de Buenos Aires y en el resto de Argentina. Las poblaciones con vulnerabilidad social están expuestas a riesgos de manera potenciada. OBJETIVO: Describir la evolución de los casos confirmados de COVID-19 en el Gran Buenos Aires, localizados en zonas con diferentes características sociales categorizadas por vulnerabilidad socioterritorial, desde el inicio de la pandemia hasta el 15 de julio de 2020. MÉTODOS: Estudio descriptivo de corte transversal. Las variables analizadas fueron sexo, edad, evolución de la enfermedad y domicilio categorizado por medio del índice de vulnerabilidad socioterritorial (IVST). RESULTADOS: La mayor cantidad de casos positivos para COVID-19 se encontró en el grupo etario de 20 a 59 años, y el 48% fueron mujeres. El 47% de los casos estudiados residían en zonas vulnerables. El 28% de los casos confirmados requirieron internación. Se internaron en unidades de cuidados intensivos el 3,8% del total de los casos confirmados. Los casos de residentes en zonas no vulnerables tuvieron mayor requerimiento de cuidados intensivos. La letalidad fue de 3,5%, mayor en los varones, y más elevada en residentes de zonas no vulnerables, con una diferencia estadísticamente significativa respecto a los pertenecientes a zonas vulnerables. En la distribución por grupos etarios, se observó un exceso de letalidad estadísticamente significativo en menores de 60 años. DISCUSIÓN: Se observó un número mayor de internaciones en UCI y en la letalidad del grupo de población residente en territorio no vulnerable.</text>

                <text>The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an on-going pandemic caused by the SARS-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) which targets the respiratory system of humans. The published data show that children, unlike adults, are less susceptible to contracting the disease. This article aims at understanding why children constitute a minor group among hospitalized COVID-19 patients. Here, we hypothesize that the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine could provide a broad neutralizing antibody against numbers of diseases, including COVID-19. Our hypothesis is based on the 30 amino acid sequence homology between the SARS-CoV-2 Spike (S) glycoprotein (PDB: 6VSB) of both the measles virus fusion (F1) glycoprotein (PDB: 5YXW_B) and the rubella virus envelope (E1) glycoprotein (PDB: 4ADG_A). Computational analysis of the homologous region detected the sequence as antigenic epitopes in both measles and rubella. Therefore, we believe that humoral immunity, created through the MMR vaccination, provides children with advantageous protection against COVID-19 as well, however, an experimental analysis is required.</text>
