</text>

                <text>Você não acha que é cada vez mais visível a abrangência de temas extensionistas neste fascículo? Entre no sumário e verifique os temas diversificados que a Revista Ciência em Extensão está veiculando pelos artigos publicados neste primeiro fascículo que inicia o volume 11 de 2015. Veja como essa visibilidade é demonstrada de modo inequívoco pela participação de docentes de outras universidades de vários estados brasileiros com temas que vão desde saúde bucal de comunidades indígenas do Amazonas, beneficiamento de leite em assentamento de reforma agrária, promoção da saúde infantil, ensino de física para alunos do ensino básico, monitoramento da segurança de medicamentos hospitalares, ensino das culturas afro-brasileiras, o cinema e a neurologia, diagnóstico de doenças em bovinos da agricultura familiar, gênero e sexualidade, políticas públicas e vulnerabilidade social, agrotóxicos e meio ambiente, o teatro na prevenção de parasitoses, extensão no campo da história colonial brasileira, extensão no ensino de ortopedia, traumatologia no esporte e educação em saúde para pacientes no pós-operatório. É importante verificar como a extensão universitária se realiza de modo indissociável com o ensino e a pesquisa em cada um desses artigos. Para que você compare, vou demonstrar de modo bem simples como isso é possível. Observe no artigo de 'Políticas públicas e vulnerabilidade social: uma reflexão teórica a partir de experiência de estágio' que alunos do Curso de Psicologia ao realizarem estágio supervisionado se depararam com a situação de vulnerabilidade social de crianças e adolescentes e passaram a estudar a relação entre políticas públicas e vulnerabilidade social. Esse estudo demonstrou quais são as contribuições que a Psicologia oferece à esse problema e, sobretudo, a instrumentalização recomendada à atuação profissional crítica do psicólogo que rompe com a individualização da responsabilidade que recai sobre o sujeito e/ou sua família. O trabalho extensionista traz a realidade com riqueza de detalhes para dentro da sala de aula e dos laboratórios de pesquisa e expõe os problemas e as diferentes perspectivas presentes nos discursos dos envolvidos e do contexto que os delimita. É desafiante porque impõe a urgência dos problemas reais que não são resolvidos e até negligenciados.Mariângela Spotti Lopes Fujita Pró-Reitora de Extensão Universitária da UNESP </text>

A randomized complete block design, in a 2x4 factorial scheme, with four replications, was used, in which the first factor was the spraying intervals (15 and 30 days), and the second the protective mixtures (bordeaux, lime sulfur, and a mixture with silicate Rocksil®) and control without any mixture. To the Pérola cultivar, the bordeaux mixture provided an increase of 17,7% in grain yield, when compared to the non-sprayed control, reducing significantly the angular leaf spot severity, achieving a control efficiency of 75%, and propitiating a profit of R$ 386.40 ha-1, when applied at each 15 days. To the BRS Valente cultivar, the bordeaux mixture and lime sulfur provided an increase of 25% and 21,8% in grain yield, in comparison to the non-sprayed control, achieving a control efficiency of 62% and a profit of R$ 573.15 ha-1 and R$ 464.10 ha-1, respectively, when applied at each 15 days.

KEY-WORDS: Phaeoisariopsis griseola; Phaseolus vulgaris; organic agriculture; bordeaux mixture; lime sulfur.

</text>

The main constraints faced by farmers to produce are related to soil fertility management, difficulties in assessing tractors for preparing their land, and high levels of weed infestation. SPD was tested jointly with farmers trying to decrease these problems impacts. It showed promising results to stabilize, technically and economically, maize production. SPD solved completely the tractors dependency and contributed to decrease labour requirements for weed control. The production levels attained led to a better valorisation of the most scarce production factors, such as family labour and land. It was also evidenced the need to conduct more studies on the use of cover crops in those production systems.

</text>

                <text>El artículo busca tres objetivos: 1) contribuir al debate en curso en el marco de la propuesta de la ecología-mundo, centrándose en el caso de los acuerdos suscritos entre los estados del centro global, de la semiperiferia y los estados de la periferia; 2) proporcionar una visión de cómo y por qué los acuerdos en las áreas de comercio, migración, seguridad y empleo que se suscriben entre los estados del centro, de la semiperiferia y los estados de la periferia global contribuyen a acelerar la caída del excedente ecológico; y por último, 3) volver a centrar la atención en el continente africano, haciendo hincapié en su papel central en el desarrollo y crisis de la economía capitalista global. La perspectiva desarrollada por Moore rechaza el dualismo cartesiano de 'Naturaleza' y 'Sociedad' y, por tanto, trasciende la narrativa del capitalismo y el medio ambiente tan predominante en la actualidad, proponiendo en su lugar una relación creativa y dialéctica de unidad fundamental entre la naturaleza humana y la extrahumana, oikeios. De ello se desprende que la crisis del capitalismo, ya sea evolutiva o epocal, no se origina en la convergencia de crisis ontológicamente distintas e independientes, la económica (sociedad) y la medioambiental (naturaleza), sino que expresa la esencia misma del capitalismo. En este sentido, los acuerdos comerciales, de inmigración, de seguridad y de empleo entre los estados del centro, las semiperiferias y los estados de la periferia encarnan la misma esencia antagonista del capitalismo: la tendencia a la acumulación incesante de capital y la caída del excedente ecológico. En este artículo exploramos que si, por un lado, los acuerdos estipulados entre los estados del centro, las semiperiferias y los estados de la periferia representan una forma de apropiarse del 'trabajo' barato y gratuito de naturalezas humanas y extrahumanas para ponerlos al servicio del proceso de acumulación capitalista, estos acuerdos, por su propia construcción y sus dinámicas de negociación, aceleran, por otro lado, la caída del excedente ecológico, lo que se hace visible en el aumento de los precios de los bienes primarios a través del continuo agotamiento de las naturalezas humanas y extrahumanas no capitalizadas o infracapitalizadas. El texto, además de introducción y conclusiones, consta de tres apartados. En el primero se establecen las principales características de la perspectiva de la ecología-mundo de Moore, que se desarrollarán a lo largo del artículo. En el segundo apartado se aíslan las cuatro grandes razones que nos ayudan a entender cómo y por qué los acuerdos entre estados del centro, de la semiperiferia y los estados de la periferia pueden acelerar la caída del excedente ecológico. En el tercero se desarrolla el argumento principal del artículo, aplicándolo al caso concreto de los acuerdos estipulados entre algunos estados del centro, de la semiperiferia y los estados de la periferia africana.</text>

                <text>This article is a result of the research and technological extension work related to the Project entitled 'The use and appropriation of ICTs by family farmers in the Vale do Caí - RS', financed by the edict of MCTI/CNPq, FAPERGS and UNISC, developed in Partnership with EMATER/ASCAR-RS, the Union of Rural Workers, the rural schools located in the Vale do Caí, the students of the Graduation Administration and Accounting Sciences courses of the Campus of Montenegro/UNISC and the doctoral students of the Postgraduate Program in Regional Development. This article refers to a literature review of the production carried out by the project team and aims to demonstrate the interrelations between the use and appropriation of ICTs and family agriculture. It was identified that only the access of the families of farmers to the new technologies and an adequate infrastructure does not guarantee, in itself, the use of the ICTs. It is concluded that the appropriation of ICT by family agriculture depends on a process of mediation and social interface between the University and society, requiring interdisciplinary work teams, resources for the extension, projects with long-term maturity, without time limits and of goals. In addition, it is emphasized that the understanding of the symbolic universe and the everyday life of the farmers must be the starting point.</text>

                <text>The objectives of this work are, in a first place, know the relationship between family farming of the Pampas region of Argentina with the different factors of production trying to verify whether, in the context of this region increasingly specialized in the production of soybean, embedded in global marketing channels, it is possible to find a particular way of organizing work, relating to the land resource and / or capitalizing (invest in technology) that distinguishes family farming from other forms of production, and on a second place, inquire about the processes of change that have occurred in the dynamics of these families, whose has adopted 'modern' behaviors and values characteristic of urban families, to study their impact on the organization of the production unit. In this sense, we first observed the characteristic that presents the link between this type of units with different factors of production (land, capital and labor), and then, we suggest an analysis of the changes crossed by the families involved that have been influencing the way decisions are token and the impact on the production unit. For the methodological approach, we work with a survey of family farmers from a sample of agricultural establishments in the district of Junin, located on the Pampas, on the northwest of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.Este artículo tiene un doble objetivo. Por un lado, conocer cuál es la relación que guarda la agricultura familiar de la región pampeana argentina con los distintos factores de producción intentando verificar si es factible encontrar en estas unidades una forma particular de organizar el trabajo, relacionarse con el recurso tierra y/o capitalizarse (invertir en tecnología) que diferencie a la agricultura familiar de otras formas de producción. Por el otro, indagar acerca de los procesos de cambio que se han venido produciendo en las dinámicas de estas familias, con comportamientos y valores 'modernos' característicos de familias urbanas, para analizar sus efectos sobre la organización de la unidad productiva. Todo ello, en el contexto de esta región cada vez más especializada en la producción agrícola e inserta en circuitos de comercialización mundiales. En este sentido, primero se observan los rasgos que presenta el vínculo de este tipo de unidades con los distintos factores de producción (tierra, capital y trabajo) y, a continuación, se propone un análisis acerca de las modificaciones atravesadas por las familias involucradas que han venido influyendo en la forma de tomar decisiones por parte de la unidad productiva. En cuanto al abordaje metodológico, se realizó una encuesta a productores familiares a partir de una muestra del total de establecimientos agropecuarios en el partido de Junín, ubicado en el noroeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina, así como también se realizaron entrevistas a productores y a esposas e hijos de productores del partido.</text>

In this way, one experiment was carried out in Remígio, Paraíba State, Brazil, to evaluate the leaf nutrient status, at the beginning of the blooming stage, and the exportation of sodium, macro, and micronutrients of the “Baixinho de Santa Amália” papaya cultivar. A complete randomized blocks experimental design was used in a 2x5 factorial arrangement, referring to pure biofertilizer and biofertilizer enriched with sodium, macro, and micronutrients, under 0.0 L plant-1; 0.5 L plant-1; 1.0 L plant-1; 1.5 L plant-1; and 2.0 L plant-1 doses, applied to soil under their liquid form. <text>Since 2008, the political discussion about export rights of cereals and oleaginous with the higher presence in the agrarian productive national process has put, inadvertently, on the general debate the argentinean 'field' as an issue. This paper, then, pretends to be a contribution to a better knowledge of the accumulation dynamic present in the national agrarian sector because without its global appreciation its impossible to move forward in the construction of future scenarios. The present document has as main objectives: a) to discuss the heterogeneous profile that takes the productive and social structure of the contemporary argentinean agro, and b) to propose strategies of public policies tending to put the social actors, without distinction, in the capacity of make decisions about the organization of their territories. Finally, we consider that the access to the land property, the possibility of re-conversion, the capitalization, the relationship between local actors with direct and indirect incidence in the production, the relationship conditions with commercialization agents and the establishment or consolidation of regulation organisms are strategic elements for a public policy that looks for a structural transformation of the situations of subordination, which are not and will not be modify through a devaluation or an increase of international prices.
