La nutrición es una prioridad de salud pública en Colombia. A pesar de esto el médico general y el especialista no están formados ni están preparados adecuadamente para afrontar la problemática nutricional de la población: alta prevalencia de desnutrición, sobrepeso, obesidad, inseguridad alimentaria en poblaciones vulnerables como los desplazados, niños y ancianos. A pesar de ser un país con alta tasa de enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles, tampoco están preparados para realizar consejería nutricional para su prevención y tratamiento. Una de las razones para esto, es la falta de definición del papel del médico en el ejercicio de la nutrición clínica. La educación en nutrición puede definirse como la introducción de los principios científicos de la nutrición en la práctica clínica de la medicina. La identificación de un núcleo central de conocimientos propios a la nutrición, el abordaje desde la interdisciplinariedad y el reconocimiento de un médico especialista en nutrición son aspectos claves en el desarrollo de la educación médica en nutrición. Se proponen estrategias claves para el desarrollo de esta disciplina y para fomentar la participación de los médicos en ella

ObjetivosReflexionar sobre la función e importancia de la agroecología en los agroecosistemas integrados, y su efecto en la estructura, funcionamiento y uso eficiente de los recursos de dicho sistema.Materiales y MétodosSe consultó y analizó la literatura disponible en los ámbitos de la ecología, ciencias agrícolas y agroecología, con el propósito de establecer las bases científicas, definiciones y estado del arte en las investigaciones y los resultados que conciernen a los sistemas convencionales e integrados (agricultura-ganadería) y a la agroecología.ResultadosSe constató que la integración de animales y cultivos en los sistemas integrados agricultura-ganadería genera sinergias que potencian las capacidades productivas de dichos sistemas, además de hacer posible que se reduzca la vulnerabilidad ante las plagas agrícolas, que sea menor la dependencia de insumos externos y los requerimientos de capital, y que aumente la eficiencia en el uso de la tierra.ConclusionesLa aplicación de enfoques agroecológicos contribuye a la intensificación sostenible de la producción de alimentos y a la solución de muchos problemas, relativos a los efectos ambientales adversos y a la baja productividad y eficiencia que aún predominan en los sistemas especializados.

The research arises from the problems faced by cities due to heavy rainfall, and the obsolete drainage infrastructure systems, that lead to the collapse of rainwater evacuation systems. Contributing to the resolution of the problematic, with a proposal based on the collection, reused, and evacuation, through the retarders or other systems inside the property. In this way, the excess of flow that might be find in the runoff will decrease singnificantly, reducing the negative impacts on the city and granting sustainable benefits to this natural resource. We understand that non-conventional retarders are easy to combine with conventional ones, allowing to enhance their results not only at the level of urban storm drainage (possibility of absorbing 100%), but also contributing to ecological consideration (Ex: reduction in heat emission from natural roofs, with return to environments water by evapotranspiration process) and also those of a sustainable type (Ex: water recycling with collection and storage of a reserve tank). The validation is carried out from the intervention of an existing building, this allows to test the feasibility of different systems of rain regulators that is being analyzed.

El análisis de 69 muestras del Subsistema Carreras ha permitido diferenciar 10 distribuciones granulométricas (cinco de canal, cuatro de borde de canal y uno de marisma salada). El análisis geoquímico efectuado en algunas muestras revela un bajo grado de contaminación en los sedimentos superficiales. El estudio de la fauna permite diferenciar cuatro asociaciones de ostrácodos: a) asociación estuarina sensu strictu (Loxoconcha elliptica, Cyprideis torosa, Cytherois fischeri, Elofmnia pusilla y Leptocythere sp.), dominante en la biocenosis y tanatocenosis de todo el Subsistema; b) asociación costera (Urocythereis oblonga, Pontocythere elongata, Aurila convexa y Cytheretta adriatica), constituida por grandes formas abundantes en la tanatocenosis de los canales principales con conexión marina; c) asociación marina abierta (Carinocythereis whitei, Palmoconcha guttata y Palmoconcha turbida) compuesta por pequeñas especies procedentes de medios marinos de profundidad superior (>10m) del litoral de Huelva; y d) asociación dulceacuícula (Candona sp., Cyprinotus salinus y Limnocythere inopinata), pobremente representada en la llanura mareal fangosa. La biocenosis de la asociación estuarina suele encontrarse en aguas de salinidad variable e hidrodinámica moderada a baja, en zonas frecuentemente vegetadas. Las asociaciones costera y, en menor medida, marina abierta son introducidas por la marea en el sistema estuarino por los canales distribuidores principales. Puede encontrarse en canales secundarios si se produce la erosión de antiguas flechas costeras.

Los arvicólidos son roedores que tienen la morfología de la corona de los dientes formada por una secuencia de pliegues de esmalte que se asemeja a la curva y=sen f(x). Las especies actuales del género Arvicola cumplen en la morfología del molar mI, seis criterios que son independientes de la talla. El examen de las poblaciones de arvicólidos sin raíz, procedentes del Pleistoceno inferior, indica la existencia de molares con una morfología idéntica a la de los ejemplares vivos de Arvicola, pero con menor talla. La existencia de esta identidad permite proponer la hipótesis de poblaciones primitivas del género Arvicola con pequeña talla durante el Pleistoceno Inferior. Estas han pasado desapercibidas entre las poblaciones de Allophaiomys. a causa de su identidad morfológica entre ambos. La hipótesis de la existencia de Arvicola en el Pleistoceno Inferior supone un profundo cambio en el concepto de Allophaiomys como género y convierte la talla de Arvicola, por su continuo crecimiento durante todo el Pleistoceno, en un útil instrumento cronológico.

A modo de introducción general del volumen, las páginas siguientes pretenden mostrar algunas de las preguntas que, desde sus inicios, la antropología social y cultural se ha planteado cuando ha investigado en las relaciones entre lo que los clásicos denominaban naturaleza y cultura. La exploración de estas relaciones ha sido una constante para los antropólogos de todas las tendencias y orientaciones teóricas por lo que las respuestas a los problemas planteados han abarcado desde la consideración de ambos polos como entes sustantivos de carácter excluyente, hasta la consideración de los mismos como elementos situados en un continuum; desde el biologismo extremo al culturalismo, desde etnoecologías particulares a reflexiones universalizadoras. En cualquier caso, lo relevante de las múltiples perspectivas que se ofrecen es que, en una época en que la globalización ambiental es incuestionable, la antropología inserta su bagaje y su comprensión de la transculturalidad en la búsqueda de soluciones a unos problemas ambientales que se han tornado parte de las discusiones cotidianas de miles de personas en todo el mundo.

En las villas campesinas de los Andes encontramos un espacio denominado con términos tales como «alturas», «puna», «jalca» o «pampa». En este territorio se encuentran los pastizales, los roquedales, las pequeñas lagunas, los manantiales y la nieve. Es también el escenario ideal de los amores de juventud y las actividades pastoriles. Finalmente, este territorio es entendido, por los habitantes de las villas, como un espacio de alteridad. Nosotros examinaremos las concepciones andinas acerca de este último aspecto: concepciones concernientes al peligro, la indistinción y la fascinación. Lógicamente, cuando hablamos de alteridad, no podemos dejar de decir, al mismo tiempo, algo acerca de la identidad, de los valores y sentimientos vinculados a ella.
