Mediante el análisis de componentes principales (ACP) (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin=0.7) se determinó que la adopción de innovaciones en producción, asistencia técnica y mercado inciden en la rentabilidad de las empresas queseras. Metodología: Se aplicó un cuestionario a 260 estudiantes, 143 mujeres y 117 hombres, de las carreras Técnico en agricultura sustentable y Técnico en informática del Centro de Bachillerato Tecnológico Agropecuario (CBTA) No. 254 “Aquiles Serdán Alatriste” de Cuacnopalan, Palmar de Bravo (Puebla, México). La información se organizó por medio del Análisis de Redes (ARS) para conocer la representación social sobre la problemática ambiental, las afectaciones de ésta, las acciones para atender estas afectaciones, y sobre los derechos humanos. Resultados: Los resultados mostraron que los estudiantes relacionan la problemática ambiental con la basura y no identifican de manera clara las afectaciones de esta problemática en sus vidas diarias; las actividades que realizan en consecuencia a la problemática ambiental se vinculan fuertemente a las 3 “R” (reciclar, reusar y reducir). Conclusiones: Los estudiantes tienen una visión horizontal de los derechos humanos, en especial con relación al medio ambiente sano. A partir de la consideración de estos elementos se puede esbozar un panorama de cuáles pueden ser los factores determinantes de la excelencia docente dentro del contexto universitario. Asimismo, los resultados muestran las ventajas del enfoque cualitativo, específicamente del Estudio de Caso, en el análisis de realidades tan complejas como la que subyace al fenómeno objeto de estudio. Bellis, Melisa Giorgis Description An account of the resource En los ecosistemas de montaña, la distribución de la vegetación a lo largo del gradiente altitudinal fue tradicionalmente interpretada en términos de la temperatura decreciente desde la base hacia arriba; pero los fuegos pueden co-variar con el gradiente de altitud, también cumpliendo un papel importante. En las montañas del centro de la Argentina (500-2800 m s. n. m.), los fuegos son uno de los disturbios principales y pueden cumplir una función importante en modular la dinámica de la vegetación a lo largo de la altitud. Sin embargo, hasta ahora ningún estudio describió la incidencia del fuego a lo largo del gradiente altitudinal. Nosotros comparamos la incidencia del fuego entre cinco intervalos altitudinales usando una base de datos de fuegos espacialmente explícita, de 18 años, derivada de sensores remotos. Para cada intervalo, descartamos las áreas no combustibles y calculamos para cada año la incidencia del fuego como el porcentaje de área quemada. La incidencia de fuego mostró un patrón unimodal a lo largo del gradiente de altitud. Las incidencias más altas se registraron a altitudes intermedias, en los intervalos de 1301-1700 m y 901-1300 m, con 3.2% y 2.7% de incidencia anual, respectivamente. La incidencia de fuego más baja se registró en el intervalo inferior (500-900 m), con 1.3% quemado anualmente, en promedio. La mayor incidencia del fuego observada a altitudes intermedias es consistente con un aumento importante de la cobertura de pastizales por encima de los 900 m s. n. m., con una simultánea reducción en la extensión de bosques. Hacia mayores altitudes, la menor incidencia del fuego es consistente con la presencia de barreras impuestas por la topografía y por las áreas rocosas no combustibles, y con las condiciones más húmedas. La mayor incidencia de fuegos observada a altitudes intermedias puede estar limitando la expansión de bosques en dichas áreas. A mayores altitudes, la baja cobertura arbórea podría estar explicada por una combinación de fuegos y presión ganadera. Nuestro estudio es el primero que muestra cómo varía la incidencia del fuego a lo largo del gradiente completo de altitud, brindando una herramienta importante para entender la distribución de la vegetación y planificar estrategias de conservación y restauración. Muchas veces, el investigador no tiene capacidad de controlar la porción explicativa del modelo de regresión, por lo que las variables explicativas pueden resultar tan aleatorias o más que la variable respuesta. Esto podría generar sesgos en las estimaciones de las pendientes asociadas y conducir a conclusiones equivocadas. Una alternativa al método de regresión clásico es la regresión tipo II, diseñada para cuando no se pueden fijar los valores de la variable explicativa. En este trabajo se presentan distintas situaciones basadas en investigaciones publicadas en ecología y agronomía con diferentes objetivos: predicción, estimación de la pendiente y comparación de pendientes entre dos grupos, en las que el problema de variación aleatoria en las variables explicativas está presente con distinto grado de relevancia. En cada caso se identifica cuál es el camino más adecuado para el análisis. También se realizó una simulación que consideró distintas combinaciones para los errores aleatorios en las variables regresora y respuesta con el objetivo de visualizar el sesgo de los estimadores en cada situación para los diferentes métodos de regresión. De lo presentado se desprende que se debe poner énfasis en dos cuestiones muy importantes para poder decidir el método de regresión tipo II más adecuado: tener en claro cuál es el objetivo del trabajo y si se cumplen las condiciones de aplicación requeridos por cada método. Esta revisión pretende ser una sencilla guía de cuándo y qué método aplicar en cada situación. Evaluar el crecimiento y la supervivencia de Cryphiops caementarius en cocultivo con Oreochromis niloticus a diferentes densidades. Materiales y métodos. Se utilizaron camarones machos (5.86 cm y 7.65 g) y alevines revertidos de tilapia (5.65 cm y 2.61 g). Se emplearon nueve acuarios (55 L). En cada acuario se instalaron seis recipientes donde se sembró un camarón por recipiente (32 camarones/m2) y en el agua restante se sembraron tilapias a 100, 200 y 300 alevines/m3. Se empleó alimento balanceado. La ración diaria para camarones fue del 6% y para tilapia fue del 5% de la biomasa total. El experimento duró 90 días. Resultados.
