Se determinó la frecuencia y abundancia deespecies arbóreas y arbustivas en 19 huertos familiares, y se determinó la conductividad eléctrica (CE) del suelo. Envivero se sometieron plantas de guanábana (Annona muricata L.), mango (Mangifera indica L.) y naranja agria (Citrusaurantium L.) a CE de 124, 1 084, 2 143, 4 031 y 7 631 µS cm−1en el agua de riego, para luego determinar la alturade las plantas y la biomasa de raíz, tallo y hojas. Se calculó la CE a la que se reduce la biomasa en 50% (CE50) y elíndice de tolerancia al estrés (ST-Index). La composición de especies en campo cambió con la salinidad de los suelos.La CE50 en guanábana, mango y naranja agria fueron de 9 580, 10 220 y 17 430 µS cm−1, y el ST-Index fue de 16810, 9 300 y 8 830 µS cm−1. La salinidad in�uye en la composición de especies. Las especies más frecuentes di�erenen tolerancia al estrés, por lo que su composición en los huertos familiares cambiará al aumentar la salinidad del suelopor el cambio climático en la región. Puede mencionarse también, por ejemplo, la problemática de la relación entre lengua estándar y variedades y registros estigmatizados del portugués brasileño, en relación con los cuales la primera quiere actuar como lengua predadora, pero, a diferencia de las lenguas indígenas, los segundos muestran una vitalidad enorme que asegura la diversidad lingüística e incluso ha llevado históricamente al portugués brasileño a delinearse como una lengua marcadamente diferente del portugués europeo, al punto de constituir otra lengua en opinión de no pocos lingüistas. Puede definirse, así, un ecosistema social del portugués brasileño, tanto desde un punto de vista histórico como en el presente. En el marco de problemáticas tan abarcadoras, nos centramos en la producción teórica de Hildo Honório do Couto, que nuclea la llamada “Escuela Ecolingüística de Brasilia”, y nos ocupamos en particular de la noción de “ecología profunda” y de la cercanía que ella presenta con el pensamiento oriental en uno de los libros más recientes del autor, O tao da linguagem (2012). Based on the review of literature, we would like to open a dialogue between the field and Latin American contemporary debates, with a special focus on a number of theoretical frameworks that share a radical critique of modernity and stand for a biocentric turn in social sciences: the so-called modernity/coloniality research program, critical ecology, and indigenous epistemologies. We propose approaching communication theories from the indigenous worldview of “good living” ('buen' 'vivir')' 'and quote several inspiring participatory projects that apply the new epistemologies to the field. Resumen El artículo revisa los fundamentos históricos y teóricos de la comunicación para el desarrollo y, en particular, del nuevo paradigma de la comunicación para el cambio social, un concepto acuñado recientemente que permanece anclado a una visión en exceso antropocéntrica e insostenible del desarrollo.
