Las correlaciones con las fluctuaciones termohigrométricas diarias fueron de diferente signo. Salvo para Scorpiones, Pseudoescorpiones, Acariformes y Psocoptera, estas relaciones fueron consistentes en todas las altitudes. El ensayo se llevó a cabo sobre un cultivo de soja, implantado en el partido de Lobos en la provincia de Buenos Aires. Se estableció un diseño experimental en bloques al azar, con cuatro repe- ticiones por tratamiento. Los tratamientos fueron: Control sin inoculación (C); Inoculación con B. japonicum (IB); Inoculación combinada Bradyrhizobium-micorrizas (IBM); Inoculación con Bradyrhizobium + curasemilla (IBC); Inoculación combinada + curasemilla (IBMC). Se determinaron parámetros de crecimiento, eficiencia de nodulación y micorrización, rendimiento y sus componentes. Comparados con el control, IBM e IBMC mos- traron un aumento significativo, del orden del 40 %, en los parámetros de crecimiento. Todos los tratamientos aumentaron significativamente el número de plantas noduladas, comparados con el control. El número de nódulos por planta aumentó significativamente en todos los tratamientos de inoculación, con mayor nodu- lación en los tratamientos de inoculación combinada, comparados con los de inoculación simple. Sólo los tratamientos IBM e IBMC aumentaron significativamente el porcentaje de raíces micorrizadas, comparados con el control. Los tratamientos IB, IBC e IBMC aumentaron significativamente el rendimiento, con valores de 4.750, 4.825 y 4.850 Kg ha-1, respectivamente, comparados con el control (4.100 Kg ha-1). Moreover, the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome CoronaVirus Disease 2), has developed into an unprecedented pandemic, posing enormous pressure on health-care providers around the world. Case presentation Four and half years after right hip arthroplasty, the patient came back to our attention with pain at the same hip. The instrumental examinations showed signs of cup detachment. After carefully analyzing the case, we decided to perform a sterile aspiration of the hip in the operating room under C-arm fluoroscopy. Microbiological examinations showed positivity for E. coli. The patient underwent surgery by which the prosthesis was removed and a spacer was implanted. A therapy with Cefotaxim 2 g three times a day for 6 weeks was then set, and then a total arthroplasty was performed. During this period, the COVID-19 pandemic occurred and therefore the patient received nasal-throat swabbing two times, and both yielded negative results. However, 1 week after the final surgery, his respiratory conditions deteriorated and chest X-ray and CT scan showed images of ground-glass opacification patterns (GGO). Due to the clinical symptoms and the characteristic images of the instrumental examinations, the patient was transferred to an observation ward. Thereafter, two more swab tests gave negative results. The patient was then transferred to the ward for patients with typical symptoms of COVID-19 but with negative swab tests for 2 weeks and was subsequently discharged home. Conclusion The purpose of this case report was to point out the correct treatment of a PJI after the outbreak of COVID-19. Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the guidelines in the case of periprosthetic hip infection further confirmed the correct management of the patient. Se realizó en Santafé de Bogotá, con una población de 100 árboles ubicados al centro, nororiente, oriente y occidente de la ciudad, recolectando de cada uno de ellos flores, frutos, hojas, cortezas y detritos; el procesamiento de las muestras incluyó extracción del material con una solución salina con antibióticos, siembra en medios selectivos e identificación de las especies con base en las características morfológicas, macro y microscópicas y bioquímicas. Se aislaron 27 cepas de Cryptococcus pertenecientes a 9 especies de Cryptococcus, a partir de 21 árboles ubicados en 5 zonas diferentes de la ciudad. Se aisló C. neoformans y se identificó como C. neoformans var. neoformans serotipo A. He established a specific association with the tree species Eucalyptus camaldulensis and E. tereticornis. Based on his findings, ELLIS proposed that the fungus could be exported from Australia to others regions, including Colombia, by means of infected seeds. The purpose of this study was to isolate and identify Cryptococcus sp., associated with Eucalyptus trees; this is the first ecological evaluation of C. neoformans var. gattii in our country. A total of 100 Eucalyptus trees, distributed among 13 zones, located in the center, northeast, east and west of Santafé de Bogotá, were studied. Flowers, fruits, leaves, barks and Eucalyptus debris were collected. The samples were processed by extraction with saline solution containing antibiotics, cultured in selective media and the isolates were identified by morphological and biochemical characteristics. Twenty-seven isolates of 9 Cryptococcus sp. were recovered from 21 Eucalyptus trees, from 5 zones. One C. neoformans var. neoformans serotype A was recovered. The Cryptococcus associated with Eucalyptus is important because this is the first study done in our country.
