Utilizando los datos de agua aplicada por riego y los rendimientos obtenidos en más de 100 experimentos de campo realizados fundamentalmente en suelo Ferralítico Rojo de la zona sur de La Habana y con ayuda de herramientas de análisis de regresión en este trabajo se estiman las funciones agua aplicada-rendimientos para algunos cultivos agrícolas y se analizan las posibles estrategias de optimización del riego a seguir en función de la disponibilidad de agua. Seleccionar una estrategia de máxima eficiencia del riego puede conducir a reducciones de agua a aplicar entre un 21,6 y 46,8%, incrementos de la productividad del agua entre 17 y 32% y de la relación beneficios/costo estimada de hasta un 3,4%. Lo anterior indica la importancia desde el punto de vista económico que puede llegar a alcanzar el uso de esta estrategia en condiciones de déficit hídrico. Os dados são analisados qualitativa e quantitativamente. Os resultados revelam que a gestão socioambiental do CES se encontra em estágio inicial, havendo ações isoladas, não institucionalizadas, passíveis de melhorias, como também lacunas em todos os eixos temáticos avaliados. Inspira mais atenção a questão da sensibilização e capacitação dos servidores e alunos, além de aspectos ligados à gestão dos resíduos gerados, sobretudo os perigosos. Em contrapartida, as avaliações com maior grau de concordância por parte dos respondentes concentram-se no quinto eixo (construções públicas sustentáveis). O campus também apresenta bom desempenho em setores ligados à interação social da comunidade acadêmica, à disponibilização e ao uso de áreas verdes e à aquisição de produtos provenientes da agricultura familiar, entre outros. Both species are restricted to the Northeast of Brazil, mainly in the Caatinga domain or in ecotonal regions with the Atlantic Forest and Cerrado. Macambira species have been reported for different uses in rural communities, ranging from ornamental plants, hedges, human and animal food, medicinal application, and raw material to manufacture handicrafts and utensils, besides ecological interaction with different animals. This study aims to present the taxonomic description, distribution data, habitat, phenology, taxonomic comments, and potential uses of B. laciniosa and E. spectabile. Bromelia laciniosa belonging to the subfamily Bromelioideae and Encholirium spectabile belongs to the subfamily Pitcairnioideae. Both species are xerophilous; i.e, they have morphological and physiological structures adapted to the semiarid climate. Bromelia laciniosa is a terrestrial species and can also inhabit rocky outcrops where organic matter is found, whereas Encholirium spectabile is a strictly rupicolous species. Given the importance of the species to the Northeast of Brazil, macambiras are also reported in visual arts, literary works, song lyrics, family surnames, nicknames, names of municipality, villages, riverside, waterfalls, and a scientific journal. La evidencia científica revisada per-mite afirmar que el cambio climático tiene una afectación transversal a la población mundiala distintos niveles y escenarios. El cambio climático afecta la salud humana de forma directa eindirecta. Por otro lado, es importante resaltar que las publicaciones que dan cuenta de los efectosdel cambio climático en Colombia se centran en las enfermedades transmitidas por vectores.
