                <text>Com os inúmeros impactos da pandemia do novo coronavírus (SARS-CoV-2), em todo o mundo, pesquisadores de todas as áreas do conhecimento passaram a refletir e analisar as consequências desse evento que já marcou este século e, principalmente, como sairemos de tudo isso. Entre as questões que mais têm levantado preocupações estão a garantia de abastecimento de alimentos e a segurança alimentar. É nesse contexto que a Revista IDeAS convidou a pesquisadora Catia Grisa para analisar os efeitos da pandemia na agricultura familiar, setor fundamental para garantir a alimentação da população brasileira. Grisa analisa a trajetória das políticas públicas para a agricultura familiar no período pré-pandemia, as mudanças no âmbito do consumo e o acesso aos alimentos, as possíveis inovações de políticas públicas, o cenário pós-pandemia e como tem sido a dinâmica do trabalho em pesquisa durante esse período. Com essa iniciativa, procuramos contribuir com a circulação de informações e o debate acerca do enfrentamento das adversidades provocadas pelo novo coronavírus.</text>

Foram analisados locais mais freqüentes de instalação de colônias e pouso de enxames, além da correlação com variáveis climáticas. Para isso, utilizou-se o coeficiente de Pearson. RESULTADOS: Os valores diários apresentaram correlação positiva com temperatura média e grau de insolação, e negativa com umidade relativa e pluviosidade. As colônias instalaram-se preferencialmente em construções artificiais; os enxames em árvores. CONCLUSÕES: Períodos do ano com altas temperaturas e baixo índice pluviométrico estão relacionados a maior atividade das abelhas e maior número de enxames, propiciando maior contato com a população. Objetos como caixas e tambores não devem ficar expostos; deve-se vedar forros e paredes, pois são abrigos em potencial para colônias e enxames. Áreas arborizadas servem de refúgio para enxames. Deve-se ter atenção em contato com áreas verdes e não se deve manusear enxames.</text>

Deve-se ter atenção em contato com áreas verdes e não se deve manusear enxames.OBJECTIVE: Africanized bees are the most aggressive bees, form swarms several times a year and build their nests in a great variety of places different from European bees. This behavior brings them into closer contact with human populations, thus giving rise to a larger number of injuries. A study was carried out to gain greater knowledge on these bees' behavior and thus create more efficient strategies for dealing with them and educating the population on this regard. METHODS: Data consisted of 3,061 registries of requests to the Center for the Control of Animal Diseases of São Paulo for removing bee colonies and wandering swarms in the period between 1994 and 1997.An evaluation of the most frequent nesting sites and their correlation with climatic variables was conducted using Pearson's coefficient. RESULTS: There were 3,061 requests in the study period and the daily volume had a positive correlation with average temperature and degree of insolation and a negative correlation with relative humidity and rainfall. The colonies showed a likelihood for nesting in artificial constructions and the wandering swarms for nesting in trees. CONCLUSIONS: Those periods of the year characterized by high temperatures and low rainfall are related to greater activity of bees and a larger number of wandering swarms, thus giving rise to increased contact with human populations. Items such as boxes and oil-drums should not be left outdoors and ceilings and walls should be sealed off, as they are potential nesting sites for colonies and swarms. Wooded areas may harbor swarms, thus care should always be taken when in the proximity of such areas. No attempt should be made to handle swarms.</text>

                <text>Abnormal iron metabolism is observed in many neurodegenerative diseases, however only two have shown dysregulation of brain iron homeostasis as the primary cause of neurodegeneration. Herein, we review one of these - hereditary ferritinopathy (HF) or neuroferritinopathy, which is an autosomal dominant, adult onset degenerative disease caused by mutations in the ferritin light chain (FTL) gene. HF has a clinical phenotype characterized by a progressive movement disorder, behavioral disturbances, and cognitive impairment. The main pathologic findings are cystic cavitation of the basal ganglia, the presence of ferritin inclusion bodies (IBs), and substantial iron deposition. Mutant FTL subunits have altered sequence and length but assemble into soluble 24-mers that are ultrastructurally indistinguishable from those of the wild type. Crystallography shows substantial localized disruption of the normally tiny 4-fold pores between the ferritin subunits because of unraveling of the C-termini into multiple polypeptide conformations. This structural alteration causes attenuated net iron incorporation leading to cellular iron mishandling, ferritin aggregation, and oxidative damage at physiological concentrations of iron and ascorbate. A transgenic murine model parallels several features of HF, including a progressive neurological phenotype, ferritin IB formation, and misregulation of iron metabolism. These studies provide a working hypothesis for the pathogenesis of HF by implicating (1) a loss of normal ferritin function that triggers iron accumulation and overproduction of ferritin polypeptides, and (2) a gain of a toxic function through radical production, ferritin aggregation, and oxidative stress. Importantly, the finding that ferritin aggregation can be reversed by iron chelators and oxidative damage can be inhibited by radical trapping may be used for clinical investigation. This work provides new insights into the role of abnormal iron metabolism in neurodegeneration.</text>

                <text>Con este proyecto se ha logrado transformar los residuos orgánicos que se producen en la institución en Compost, el cual es un producto orgánico rico en nutrientes, que constituyen un excelente abono.  De igual forma, el estudiante toma conciencia de la necesidad de mantener un ambiente limpio, lo cual se proyecta a los hogares por medio de campañas culturales que van comprometiendo a su familia y la comunidad donde habitan, con esto estimula la capacidad para crear, transformar y desarrollar habilidades que generan cambios en el contexto para el mejoramiento personal y colectivo;  además el estudiante comprende que con la transformación de los residuos sólidos se pueden desarrollar estándares curriculares desde las diversas áreas.  Se impulsa la cultura del emprendimiento y el desarrollo de competencias básicas, ciudadanas, investigativas y laborales  mediante la estrategia del desarrollo de Proyectos Pedagógicos Productivos (PPP) que permiten  mejorar los resultados académicos, dentro del marco del modelo holístico que se maneja en la institución, orientado hacia la solución de problemas mediante el método IDEAL, fundamentado en estándares y competencias.  (Yus  Ramos, 2001).  Se asume la metodología problemática, de aprendizaje significativo, autónomo, cooperativo, experiencial y conceptual de la enseñanza; se orienta por las técnicas del trabajo en equipo, investigación en grupo y cooperación guiada que privilegian la construcción del conocimiento, el aprendizaje en equipo y el autoaprendizaje.  Además es una herramienta metodológica que permite solucionar los estándares curriculares, tomando como base el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje para integrar EL SABER, EL HACER Y EL SER.</text>

                <text>Introducción. La producción de mostaza (Brassica rapa sp. pekinensis) se ve afectada por la enfermedad causada por Plasmodiophora brassicae. Objetivo. Determinar el efecto de Abono Orgánico, Microorganismos de Montaña y Fertibiol, para el control biológico de P. brassicae. Materiales y métodos. Los tratamientos diseñados se evaluaron de manera individual y en combinación, las variables evaluadas fueron peso fresco y seco de la parte aérea y la radical, relación raíz-tallo, índice de severidad radical y persistencia de esporas en el suelo (rtPCR). Se realizaron 2 ciclos de cultivo y 2 evaluaciones. Se utilizaron las pruebas de Kruscal-Wallis, Shapiro-Wilks y Levene, ANDEVA y la prueba DGC (Di Rienzo, Guzmán y Casanoves) para la separación de medias. Resultados. Los tratamientos que contenían abono orgánico (solo o en mezcla) obtuvieron los mayores valores para las variables de peso fresco y seco, tanto para la parte aérea (más de 300% respecto al testigo) como la radical. La relación raíz-tallo (R/T) fue menor y, por ende, más favorable en el tratamiento con abono orgánico, con un valor de 0,22. Para el índice de severidad, el tratamiento con MM presentó el menor valor en las 2 evaluaciones, mientras que los tratamientos con abono orgánico mostraron el mayor valor, pero esto no afectó negativamente el rendimiento. Para la variable persistencia, fue posible determinar que en el testigo hubo una disminución en la cantidad de esporas germinativas con el avance del tiempo y que los tratamientos aplicados ocasionaron respuestas variables en cuanto a este comportamiento, mostrando ecuaciones con diferente pendiente y muy diversos coeficientes de variación. El tratamiento con MM presentó para la segunda evaluación la menor cantidad promedio de esporas y el menor índice de severidad radical. Conclusión. El abono orgánico mejoró el rendimiento de las plantas y la utilización de MM redujo la severidad y mostró potencial para disminuir la presencia de esporas en el suelo.</text>

La gallinaza fue la mejor fuente orgánica para la variable altura de planta. Los tratamientos de compost fueron superiores para la variable extracción total de nitrógeno. Los tratamientos de gallinaza destacaron en la variable extracción total de fósforo. No se hallaron diferencias importantes entre fuentes orgánicas para extracción total de potasio ni una tendencia clara para la variable materia seca. Finalmente, se encontró diferencias significativas los niveles de materia orgánica de 1% y 2% para todas las variables en estudio.</text>

                <text>En zonas secas donde predominan sistemas de ganado doble propósito, la producción de leche disminuye en forma significativa en época seca. Una alternativa para mantener la producción en la época seca es mediante el uso de cultivos anuales (maíz y sorgo) para ensilar. El objetivo de esta revisión bibliográfica fue compilar información sobre aspectos asociados a la tecnología de abonos verdes de leguminosas y cómo se podrían integrar a diferentes sistemas de producción agrícolas y pecuarios en zonas tropicales. Ya sea para la producción de cultivos, para alimentación animal o para uso como heno. Para que el uso de cultivos forrajeros sea sostenible se requiere de la aplicación de N, ya que es uno de los elementos más limitantes para la producción de biomasa de forrajes. El uso de fertilizantes nitrogenados sintéticos es limitado por altos costos, además tienen efectos adversos, como producción y lixiviación de nitratos que contaminan los mantos freáticos con efectos negativos en la salud humana y en la producción de óxido nitroso, que es un potente gas de efecto invernadero que tiene efectos negativos en el calentamiento global. Una alternativa al uso de nitrógeno químico es el uso de leguminosas forrajeras fijadoras de N, como abonos verdes para suplir el N requerido por los cultivos forrajeros, pero la adopción de los abonos verdes en sistemas ganaderos es muy baja, posiblemente debido a que, los beneficios que se obtienen con su uso no se reflejan en forma directa en producción de leche en épocas críticas del año, lo cual es importante para los productores. Es necesario seleccionar leguminosas fijadoras de N con alta producción de biomasa y tolerancia a sequía, y demostrar que tienen efectos positivos en forma directa en la época seca.</text>

                <text>Foi definido o binômio saúde-doença integrado nos ecossistemas físico, psicobiológico, sócio-econômico-cultural e topológico; mostrou-se que em Saúde Pública os problemas de saúde ou de doença só podem ser vistos como um continuum e por uma equipe multiprofissional. Quatro modelos de personalidade (traços psicológicos, psicodinâmica, situadonismo, interadonismo) foram relacionados com os ecossistemas do binômio e considerados como aspectos parciais do estudo da personalidade. A personalidade foi definida como um todo dentro de três postulados básicos.The binomial health-diseases comprised in the physical, psychobiological, social-economic-cultural and topological ecosystems are defined. This article shows that in public health the problems of health or disease can only be approached as a continuum and by an interdisciplinary team. Four models of personality (psychological traces, psycho dynamics, situationism, interactionism) were related to the binomial and considered as partial aspects of the personality study. Personality was defined as a whole within three basic postulates.</text>
