Control group included 22 healthy persons. Results of the colorimetric measurements of TAOC with Randox kit showed that TAOC was significantly lower in patients with chronic hepatitis compared to the controls (p= 0.0013). The findings of this study and those of some related studies, which are limited in number, suggest that antioxidant treatment may contribute to current treatments.
