O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar o papel do cooperativismo no fortalecimento da agricultura familiar. Os resultados abordam duas questões principais: a primeira diz respeito à atuação das cooperativas como meio para o produtor rural comercializar a sua produção e, assim, ter acesso também aos mercados institucionais; a segunda, enfatiza o cooperativismo como forma de promover a sucessão familiar rural.
