In this article the data set includes records of dung beetles of the subfamily Scarabaeinae from 18 cattle ranches located in eight departments of Colombia: Atlántico (1), Boyacá (2), Caldas (2), Caquetá (1), Cesar (3), Meta (2), Tolima (3) and Valle del Cauca (4). The database comprises 1618 records taken from 11 255 specimens belonging to 19 genera, 42 species, and 32 morphospecies.
