              <text>O intuito do artigo é compreender como a Economia Social Solidaria (ESS) pode contribuir para a sustentabilidade económica, social, ecológica e política da agricultura familiar no Brasil. Para isso, serão expostas suas dimensões neste e as formas de se obter a viabilizar. Como metodologia foi realizado uma pesquisa de enfoque qualitativa com o uso do método de estudo de caso feito através de observação participante, entrevistas semiestruturadas abertas, reuniões e conversas e pesquisa em documentação de pesquisas já realizadas nas experiências. Foram escolhidas como focus para este estudo de caso as experiencias da COOPAECIA e do Grupo e Agroecologia ECONORTE ambas localizadas no Rio Grande do Sul. Os resultados apontam que existe entre elas diferenças quanto a viabilidade produtiva ecológica em que a COOPAECIA apresenta melhores resultados. Quanto a viabilidade social e política ambas apresentam excelentes resultados. A viabilidade econômica em ambas se dá tanto na eleição dos canais de comercialização, comercio justo e partição em redes soma-se a isso na ECONORTE a questão do consumo consciente. Como conclusão a adoção da Economia Social Solidaria é uma das razoes para que ambas as experiencias demonstrem ter viabilidade produtiva ecológica, económica, social e política.</text>
