En este articulo se plantean algunas ideas basadas en investigaciones realizadas en la UNA y revisiones bibliográficas sobre el verdadero significado de participación y el empoderamiento de las pequeñas familias productoras rurales como una de las alternativas que podría permitir la adopción de la diversificación y así enfrentarnos a la vulnerabilidad evidenciada por los cambios climáticos globales.
