              <text>Em decorrência de indagações suscitadas, por ocasião da apresentação de trabalhos em diversos eventos tais como o IV Simpósio Internacional de Geografi a Agrária - SINGA, VI Encontro de Povos do Cerrado, II Encontro da Rede de Estudos Agrários Brasil - REA Brasil, II Congresso Brasileiro de Agroecologia - CBA, entre outros. Podemos concluir que para o bom aproveitamento dos estudos em Geografi a Rural se faz necessário uma discussão dos conceitos contemporâneos desta temática. Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar e discutir a defi nição dos conceitos adotados para os termos: Agroecologia, agricultura familiar multifuncionalidade e pluriatividade. Para tanto, o procedimento metodológico adotado é o da pesquisa qualitativa com entrevista semi-estruturada, trabalho de campo, análise das entrevistas e consulta bibliográfica.</text>
