A formação escolar dos agricultores familiares predominou-se em ensino fundamental incompleto, contraindo matrimônio e organizados em pequenas propriedades, utilizando mão de obra familiar nas atividades agropecuárias (policultura) em uma infraestrutura deficitária. Evidenciou-se a possibilidade de implementação das políticas públicas do Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos e do Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar devido à capacidade produtiva, a proximidade e existência de escolas e de comércio local. Para isso, os agricultores familiares precisam se organizar em associações/cooperativas e os poderes públicos intervir no espaço e promover ações sólidas de desenvolvimento territorial e da agricultura familiar.
