PRONAF: access possibilities and restrictions of acces among family farmers from Cachoeira Do Sul, RS

Family farming encompasses producers in diverse social, economic and productive conditions, was built to support the National Family Agriculture Program (PRONAF), created in 1995. The objective of this study is to identify the economic, social and productive factors of family farmers Who have access to the program (pronafians) and those who do not have access to it (non-pronafians). The research was developed in the city of Cachoeira do Sul / RS, with a qualitative-quantitative approach, through the application of questionnaires and interviews with 35 family farmers. The results show differences between the production systems and the socioeconomic levels of pronafian and non-pronafian farmers.
