ABSTRACT Based on herbarium material of the seaweeds collections deposited in the National Aquarium, Institute of Ecology and Systematic and Center of Marine Investigations, the discovery of two new records for the marine benthonic flora of Cuba are reported: A red algae, Dichotomaria obtusata var. major (W. R. Taylor) Wynne and a brown alga, Sporochnus pedunculatus (Hudson) C. Agardh. Additionally, new data of the species Chrysymenia enteromorpha Harvey and Cladophora sericea (Hudson) Kützing are added.</text>
