La investigación, de corte cualitativa, incluye trabajo de campo instrumentando una guía de entrevista semiestructurada dirigida a mujeres inscritas en este programa. La discusión de los resultados se realizó triangulando los aportes teóricos con los argumentos recuperados de los informantes. Los resultados ponen en evidencia que se trata de una política sin perspectiva de género y de una comunidad machista, sin embargo algunas mujeres han transitado en los diversos niveles de empoderamiento, siendo el principal argumento la búsqueda de un beneficio familiar.
