The assemblage of species had variations temporal and spatial, and the dominance was of a few species with subdominance of others. The value of diversity and complexity of the habitat was high, qualifying the riparian forest as a complex habitat.Se estudió la diversidad, dominancia y uniformidad de especies de una comunidad de quirópteros de bosques de galería en la Serranía de la Macarena, y se analizó la estructura, complejidad y heterogeneidad de hábitat muestreado. El ensamblaje de especies no parece ser constante en el número ni en la identidad taxonómica, y presenta diferencias temporales y posiblemente espaciales; la dominancia se concentra en pocas especies con subdominancia de otras y una elevada proporción de especies raras, tendencia común en comunidades animales. Los valores de diversidad y complejidad para la zona son altos, lo que permite calificar a los bosques de galería muestreados como un hábitat complejo.
