El carácter estructural que le confiere dicha condición en el agro comunitario pareciera estar vinculado indisolublemente a una “aparente” inmovilidad en su cultivo y fundamentalmente en su recolección, donde un universo familiar de asimetrías genéricas y generacionales tiende a perpetuarse, tanto en las cuadrillas familiares “a destajo” como en las tradicionales. El trabajo ha cambiado poco, en última instancia por una cuestión de ecologías políticas, y la mujer sigue siendo, en gran medida, la encargada de recoger, de rodillas, el fruto que cae del árbol. En este trabajo nos proponemos reflexionar el binomio mujer-olivar, de manera sincrónica y diacrónica, cruzando dicho análisis con la praxis cotidiana de algunas de sus protagonistas, esbozos de historias de vida de mujeres que trabajan en las tierras de Jaén.
