El trabajo plantea incorporar el concepto de paisaje, sustentabilidad y medio ambiente al marco teórico del proyecto, con el objetivo de superar las ideas restringidas de ambiente y ecología, conformando un proyecto integral de paisaje. La metodología proyectual contempla el diagnóstico para el predio, afectado por las actividades extractivas, el programa de necesidades, el diseño de las edificaciones y talleres participativos. Se busca poner el acento en acciones tendientes a la remediación del pasivo ambiental, conformando un nuevo espacio de encuentro para la comunidad que contenga actividades recreativas, de carácter turístico y educación ambiental.
