This paper presents a comparison between an anthology of 1963 Chilean stories, and an anthology of Chilean stories of 2012, emphasizing problematics, theoretical discuciones about the formation and evolution of the anthology as a genre as well as its role in the socio-cultural context. The comparison between both anthologies, is established in relation to perpetuation: parameters of selection transformation, and anthological shaping.
