              <text>O objetivo deste artigo é fazer uma crítica à concepção conservadora da crise ecológica procurando evidenciar que o processo de produção destrutiva, sob a crise estrutural do capital, é um fator decisivo para a compreensão do aprofundamento da chamada crise ecológica ou ambiental[1]. Percebe-se que o pensamento dominante compreende a solução para a crise ecológica meramente como técnica, ou seja, vendo na tecnologia e na mudança de hábitos individuais um papel central. Por outro lado, a análise das relações sociais de produção e consumo indica que a autorreprodução destrutiva do capital é um fator fundamental para o aprofundamento da crise ambiental.  [1] Em que pesem as distinções que podem ser atribuídas aos dois conceitos “ambiental” e “ecológica”, aqui, serão utilizados como sinônimos.</text>
