A ECOLOGIA E O SAGRADO: A TRAJETÓRIA ANTROPOLÓGICA DE UMA COSMOLOGIA CONTEMPORÂNEA

This work consists of a theoretical approach and has as main objective to bring classical discussions of the anthropology and sociology of religion to an emerging question in contemporary society: the ecological question. For this reason, it will be held, first, an analysis, bringing classical authors and contemporary, around the main concepts about the topic as: religion, magic, and secularization. Then will resume a historical study conducted by Keith Thomas (2010) around the changes in European sensitivities communities with nature. The purpose is to demonstrate how different sensitivities surrounding the nature are being formulated in the constructions of visions of world guided by Religion. Finally, after a brief discussion about the process of secularization in contemporary society, we will discuss how the ecological question emerges significantly changes in the forms of live and see the world, bringing the religious field to the ecological question.
