Entretanto, na prática, o que se constata em pouco tempo após a implantação de uma usina é que os benefícios são poucos em relação aos problemas gerados aos habitantes. Diante disso, essa pesquisa objetivou diagnosticar conflitos ambientais gerados pela usina eólica no município de Caetés (PE), para tal utilizou-se o Diagnóstico Rápido Participativo junto a uma comunidade rural do município, através de visitas ao local seguida de uma oficina com as famílias de agricultores da região. Como resultados, encontrou-se sinalizações já percebidas em outros empreendimentos similares como os danos ambientais, como alteração dos serviços ecossistêmicos; problemas sociais provocados pela proximidade da usina as residências, gerando poluição sonora entre outros desconfortos e queda nas atividades agropecuárias.
