Los datos evaluados fueron reportados por la estación meteorológica 801100 (SKMD) y su análisis estadístico se llevó a cabo mediante el Modelo Lineal General (GLM) incorporando la técnica multivariada de la varianza MANOVA con contraste canónico ortogonal. Se estableció que en un periodo de cincuenta años la ciudad de Medellín experimentó un cambio climático, mostrando un aumento en la temperatura media de 0,8ºC, 1,3ºC en la temperatura mínima, 0,5ºC en la temperatura máxima y una tendencia decreciente en la humedad relativa con disminución media de 2,3%.
