A pesquisa foi conduzida no período de 1997 a 1999, em uma propriedade que adota a agricultura orgânica, localizada em Chapecó, SC. Foram avaliados produção, peso e número de frutos e sua qualidade comercial. A cultivar Tangi foi a que apresentou melhor resposta ao sistema orgânico de cultivo. As maiores produtividades são alcançadas quando é utilizado esterco de aves na adubação. Os resultados mostraram que é possível produzir morango com alto padrão comercial sem a utilização de agrotóxicos.
